Bought this awhile back on sale for ~$15 and returned it, overall throughput between two devices dropped by ~10% vs. direct connection through my router. Switched to a TP-link 24 port and speed differences were imperceptible. Wasn't even a matter of total switching capacity, just seems like the internal hardware isn't rated to perform at the Gbps speed it claims in general.

Put this in my system to replace a 4 port. It caused havoc. Certain wireless devices could no longer connect. Other devices wouldn't collect. Some wired devices in the switch worked fine, while others would not work. Somehow it was wreaking havoc on DNS on my main router. Could never fix it, but putting my old 4 port back in place of this 8 resolved all my network issues. I am getting a managed switch in the future.
