*edit: separate device for heating like a dedicated heat pump that is able to handle your local weather conditions.
As another user pointed out this heat pump, and probably most other portable ones, will not work in colder conditions, but standalone ones can be rated for below freezing temps.

Just an fyi for people who read your comment: Heat pumps can work below freezing and still be much more efficient than resistive electric heaters. For some reason most (if not all) portable/window units aren't able to work below 40f or so, but minisplits, central units, and probably car heat pumps can work well below freezing.

I read some reddit said that you need to relocate the outside temperature sensor to inside where outside air does not blow pass it. Heat will work below freezing temp.
