That was an absolute one off situation. It would be different if you missed a deal multiple retailers offered, but you didn't. It was one retailer and from I saw people have not received a shipment yet.

Yeah not sure, maybe a lot if people got their order in, but shipment is another thing. I would not be surprised if walmart cancels all the order no shipped yet. They have done it in the past.

Except for fluke sales, I feel like prices on these are inflated. These should be in the sub $150 range by now, considering how fast technology is progressing on memory modules. It might be actually fixing for a huge price drop soon. Who knows....

Can anyone comment if this works well in a PS5 slim? I was dumb and bought a gen3 on sale, thinking it would work on ps5, but I got an error on the PS5 saying gen4 and above.

If I'm planning to this in a rear m2 slot on the backside of the motherboard (.. which I understand might have worser thermals?.. Pls correct if I'm wrong) is the sn850x a good choice? Or go with the 990 pro?

They would both run hot in that location. It would only matter though if you are constantly moving larger files around. The typical 500MB or less will happen so fast the drive won't much care about it, thermally speaking that is. But moving 500GB in one shot will more than likely cause thermal throttling.

They probably shipped what they had in stock but they usually take way more orders than stock on those mistakes. When they had $7 monitors years ago I ordered 20 for pickup and they only had 8.
