Theatrical is superior IMO. Alien might be one of the only movies out there where the Director's Cut is actually shorter.

I am not sure I have even seen the theatrical cut. On the Blu-ray.com forums some prefer theatrical.

As a heads up, these films are movies anywhere compatible. On an Apple devices Aliens also features the Theatrical version as an extra. Unfortunately no other retailer gives you access to both movies. You do need an apple device such as an iPhone, Apple TV, or Mac to access the additional features which sucks.

Aliens isn't part of this deal and you're wrong. MA and Vudu has the same. Also, FYI, buying Alien theatrical gives you the director's cut too in the special features.

I feel you. But I'm not gonna cry over them taking away sh!t movies. Next time, if and when, just untie the prime video from your MA. It should stick (in theory) if they don't have access permission.
