HIFIMAN Store has HIFIMAN SUNDARA Closed-Back Over-Ear Planar Magnetic Headphones (Open-box, Beechwood) on sale for $119. Shipping is free.
Note: Per store site, those products are tested and in good condition but do not meet HIFIMAN's standard as "new". Open-box products also come with HIFIMAN's standard 1-year warranty as brand new products and if you are not satisfied with the product for any reason, you can return the item in 30 days.

Unless you've got a stable of headphones and are just looking for something different, pass on these. The sound is "different" and not ideal for someone looking for a single pair.
The he400se and the massdrop version has been $100 or less for ages now. Planars in this price range aren't really anything new.

Actually a lot of kids are going wired now for a "retro" look. They completely ignore the real reason why they should do wired which is the fact that wired headphones just sound better than Bluetooth.

Surprised at the positive response in this thread. The Sundara closed got widely negative reviews upon release for the rather eccentric frequency response that looked like an engineer simply put a closed shell on top of an open Sundara without tuning anything else. I guess it's usable at this pricing though. Sound quality aside, it's also worth noting that this comes with the legendary meme tier Sundara headband that is decently comfortable but peels the paint just by using the adjuster.
TU! The open-back Sundara is legendary, but these closed-backs are also very good and provide more sound isolation, which I need (noisy neighborhood). I would buy at this price if I didn't have the Drop + HIFIMAN HE-R7DX Closed-Back Headphones that are similar (currently on sale for $80 and sound fantastic!). https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman...headphones
Lol... those are dynamics. You probably don't even know there's a difference between those and hifiman's planars.
The DT770s are pretty widely acclaimed, but some people don't like them. The closed-back Sundaras are pretty widely panned, but some people kind of like them.
Personal taste are subjective, but that's the general consensus I saw from reading a few dozen reviews of the closed back Sundaras, and having listened to DT770s. I already bought some a HiFiman 400se from them for $59 sale over Black Friday, so I'm passing for now, but it's tempting.
I'm gonna wait for the BF deals from hfm.
The open back sundara's have an excellent reputation but at this point, you're in HD6xx, HD599, and X2HR territory.
I jumped on the $99 DT770 32 ohm deal earlier but haven't opened them up yet.
Frequency response plot alone shows the deal is designed to be exciting with boosted bass etc whereas the 770 is designed to be neutral.
So depends on how much EQ and tweaking you do and whether you prefer neutral as intended or subjectively boosted.
The 770s are anything but "neutral". They have a DEEP V shape, with enhanced lows and fairly shrill highs.
I got the Sundara closed for my wife and ended up returning them. They needed a lot of EQ to sound good and wasn't an upgrade from what she already had. But let's not pretend that the DT 770s are universally loved, or even close to neutral.
You can spend a little bit extra to get the removable bluetooth attachment, but I fell absolutely in love with the Deva Pros. The only reason I returned them was because I decided to spend triple the amount and got the Edition XS (which are just heavenly).

I have the open back Sundara and DT-770 and I prefer them over the DT-770. Both are great sound quality though, so get whatever's cheaper.
