Disagree. This is pretty typical for 12000 mAh

Just a quick search shows theres a fair number in the 7-8 ounce range. Personally, if I wanted a small charger that would be a pretty big difference. If it was a bigger capacity one those few ounces wouldn't amount to much.

The reason to get this is if you want the unique size/shape of this. It is thinner than every other power bank at this capacity but is wider and taller.

It is excellent for sliding in a laptop bag pocket with your laptop and not taking up a ton of extra space. But it definitely takes up more desk space if you lay it down than a regular battery.

Since I apparently collect power banks, I have this for a very specific use: iPad/laptop emergency power that fits into a laptop sleeve pocket with the device. Niche use, but it's helpful sometimes not to add the extra bulk.

Totally reasonable use case.

For others, just looking for a light power bank, you have better options:
-Anker 10k is pretty thin and lightweight, and feels very well made. Only costs like $16. https://a.co/d/2QFtOt2

-Nitecore has the lightest power banks of the reliable brands, but they are pricey.
10k: https://a.co/d/93IeraM
20k: https://a.co/d/36OaIxk

None of those can charge a laptop, however.

It is typical for the cheapo brands but you can definitely get lighter.

I put a couple links above.

This a good price/deal in your mind? Does it really output 65w?

My view is if you are specifically seeking out a thin battery to stick in a laptop sleeve then this is a fine purchase - but I would recommend the 20,000 mah (Blade HD) over the 12,000. It's thicker but still thin. And given the use is usually for a higher powered device I like the extra capacity.

I haven't tested the app yet, which is supposed to show you charging speeds, but it does charge fast compared to other power banks I have, both in/out.

Otherwise, I'd look at others. I think the Blade build quality is better than other Baseus power banks. But I prefer my Anker in most situations due to the size/shape.

[Edit: sorry meant to reply to above post but messed up on my phone]

I know we see a lot of baseus deals, and people shit on it for being a Chinese brand. Sure, they could do some copy editing (outlook -> look) but baseus gets consistently good tear down ratings, which is what matters. It's one of the few brands I trust with expensive electronics.

It's a legit band. Ppl with no passport rag on it due to ignorance and bias.
