This projector can have a shoddy DMD chip - causing what appears like stuck pixels. Take a look at Amazon. LG claims it's normal. I wish I didn't buy it.

Looks like the lowest price for a pretty great projector. I'm tempted to upgrade

Great price! I got one like this last year replacing an Epson 4040, and it was really bright... Even good for moderate bright room (with one or two windows light).

I want to jump on this. A review on AVS Forums had the cons to the HU810PW as follows:

Cons
Lens adjustments are manual
Pixel-shift DLP (not native 4K)
Modest black levels (typical of DLP)
Slight "laser speckle"
No 12V trigger or RS232 port
Typical input lag for DLP (approx. 50 milliseconds)
No support for 3D

I have no problem with any of the cons except for that input lag. I fear a video game and PS5 scenario will arise will I will end up with buyers remorse.

Also have one with a bad DMD chip, leaving a stuck bright spot on the screen after about 18 months. Wouldn't recommend.

I have this projector. I love it. I've had it for 1.5 years, no problems. I like how bright it can get. I don't need a 100% dark room for it to work. I do wish it had the newer OS, this one is stuck on the old of OS, the new LGs come with the latest os that look a lot better. All around a great projector, and at a solid price.

I tried this for a week once and had that crazy red laser "speckling" effect on my SilverTicket 100" screen as well as atrociously bad contrast... That being said, she sure is a light cannon and I imagine would work great if you can place it on the far side of it's throw range from your screen and you are not in a light-controlled room. For example, a linvingroom with lots of windows or a sports bar I imagine this projector would still be plenty bright enough for daytime usage... Notsamuch in my little light-controlled home theater with blackout paint though. Ended up going with an Epson LS11000 instead.

I have been using this projector for the last 1 year. My last projector was the Epson 3800, this one is much better than the Epson. Happy Customer.

Wasn't it 1429 to begin with after entering that code?

How much was it? Your cc might have some price protection. Worth checking.

Do not buy this if you are thinking about gaming. I have this and It is horrible for any type of gaming.
