just proved how the digital assets are worthless!
AMAZING that they can revert everything - everywhere (I noticed being Moviews anywhere the movies were registered on my account) - just vanished after order cancellation.

It means - if it comes to - the digital asset lords can also make your other digital assets make vanish overnight! eye opener.

Amazon is losing its charm, not the same company we used to like anymore.
This episode proved it one more time.

Same as everyone else; Amazon cancelled/reversed all of these purchases. Debating whether it's at all worth reaching out to Customer Service to voice discontent. Anyone else go that route already?

In some jurisdictions once the seller has accepted payment and delivered the product, a binding contract is formed. If the customer has already paid and received the item, the seller cannot unilaterally take it back without legal consequences.

If anyone has success in 'sticking it to the man' let me know. I would love to see someone make a company regret treating their customers like dirt and having no respect for consumer protection.

Came here to see if anyone has as well. Seems like something you could argue with chat, but figure the outcome will be like $3 prime video credit for all 7 movies they took back.

Came back here to post and confirm that I also got a bunch of emails saying these "orders" were canceled. This is why physical media is always king. Screw Amazon!

From my chat with customer service this afternoon: "Well, there is a current situation with this and several other movies, for some reason they are showing up as free when in reality these movies have a price, right now Our advanced technician team is working hard on it, to have it fix it as fast as possible, our recommendation is to give it 24 to 48 hours and that this unfortunate incident can be fixed."

My question: Thank you. For clarification, does "fixed," mean that the items/movies will be restored/returned to my account?

Response: "Yes."

If this was the goal, they would've just fixed the price and left the existing orders the same.
