Quite a bit higher cost per gram of protein than this other active deal, but a smaller package.

Math:
3.27ยข/g Protein - Optimum Nutrition Whey Blend (Isolate > Concentrate)Price: $22.79 for 2 lbs.10.8% of Protein is Leucine77.4% of mass is Protein80% of calories are Protein
Cost per pound is good for a "quick look", but you have to look deeper than that. Manufacturers manipulate it to fool you.

Example:
- MyProtein Whey Protein Isolate claims to be 88% protein by mass, or 400g of protein per pound.
- ON Gold Standard claims to be 75% protein by mass, or 340g of protein per pound.

So, MyP at $11/lb provides more protein per dollar than ON at $10/lb.

That said, no protein will be a good deal at $13/lb, and most will be a good deal at $8, so it's still good for estimating.

Isopure is the worst for this. 100% of calories are from protein, but only 80% of mass. They intentionally add non-caloric fillers to bring down the cost per pound.

I appreciate the help on this, I'm just trying to look for a protein powder that's going to provide me with healthy ingredients. It's hard for me as I've never been guided to the right source and every time I start on a product, a few days later I hear something negative on it. I've been on the Organic Protein Costco sells and I guess it's not so great after all. And again, thanks for the heads up, you saved me.
The label on this one shows Red 40 right on the ingredients. No point in spending money on protein that has crappy ingredients. If you want crappy ingredients, just eat crappy food that tastes better than protein powder. A lot of these companies are saving money by using horrible additives in their products, specifically things like Sunflower oil and other garbage fillers. It's too bad.
