Walmart also has the official Lutron repeater box which has 60 feet of range compared to 30 feet with the hub and this dimmer.
I rarely ever see this thing go on sale, and it's currently $51.xx
I bought it instead. Can be powered by a USB cable too.

For the extra $15 over 2 of these, the bundle is a much better deal.
Well, just checked and the bundle is no longer available.

I would say it is better to make fixtures smart (as this does with lamps) than it is to make a consumable (bulbs) smart.

B. This doesn't just add dim control to a lamp, it adds smart control to it as well.
C. You can control multiple lamps with this module.

You could integrate Lutron Smart Hub /Caseta Devices with other smart home solutions, such as Google Home, Samsung Smart things, Apple Home kit, Home Assistant ONLY when you have that smart hub.
That said, many systems can use the API as a backhaul to send commands to this system. And with their Hub Pro, you can use a local system to inject local commands as well (some systems like Hubitat require a Pro Hub).

There might be some advanced commands requiring the pro hub to function, or each integrator implement the setup differently.
To add multiple lights to a single Pico remote, add the remote to the hub then go to the configure page for the remote. A page pops up with a drop down list that says "select all the divices you wish to control from this remote." You cam select as many lights to control as desired.
You probably are just linking remotes directly to lights without using the hub.
Further, I have a Hubitat connected to the Pro version of the Caseta hub via telnet, so I can do arbritrary logic with all my Caseta devices. Caseta is the best performing (reliable) system I have tried for home automation. It operates at around 400 MHz so the low frequency penetrates walls and avoids interference in a way that 2.4 GHz just cannot do. Highly recommended if you are interested in home automation.
