They also play video games alone all the time.
They knit, make quilts, do woodworking, gardening, etc., alone.
I personally don't see playing a board game solo as any sadder an activity than any of the above. In many instances, I could see it as better.

last time I can find this one on sale was October 2023 for $21.59b via Amazon.
so yeah without the free shipping I'm around $25 ots as I just let my Walmart+ lapse... so still a decent deal and those of you with Walmart+ or meeting the shipping unlock$35 are receiving a slick deal

A lot of games can be played for free with a print and play option, I am sure BGG has a list of them in the forums.
