I have been using Rotella T6 5-40 in all of my toys ranging from supersport bikes to dirt bikes for many many years. Never had any issues. Is there any reason to using motorcycle specific oil such as this?

From my understanding, Auto oil can have additives that reduce friction. Motorcycle oil typically doesn't have these because the wet clutch needs some resistance to work properly. In for one for my dirt bikes. 😀

Try T6, that is what solved the wet clutch issues in my R6 which had Yamaha oil In it previously.

Rotella T6 looks to be JASO and therefore good for wet clutches. This oil is JASO MA2. Here's a good write up from Amsoil on the differences: https://blog.amsoil.com/whats-the...o-ma2-oil/
