I likely answered my own question since there's no possible way that the product could sustain 100% humidity and 90+ degrees (especially long-term) without deterioration. BTW, Sonoco doesn't "package it" (as you described). They just supply the packaging to Mondelēz International.
"Saved" people from ziplock bags? What exactly does that mean?🤔 Sounds kinda dramatic!😱
....dude, dial down the drama a notch or two.
In other words, you were required to move the cookies to an airtight container with the older packaging right after opening it.
At least with the resealable newer packaging, it stays airtight for a bit--certainly long enough for our household to finish the entire package.

It was a name meant to not have a connection with what was being made.
It's more about not having a pattern of eating that just stopping altogether.
The only debate allowed is whether to dunk them in milk or not!
What!?!?!? There is no debate, you must dunk!!!!

2) Nothing personal....but that resealable package is the worst! Once you've opened/closed it a few times, it doesn't seal well, air/humidity leaks in, and the cookies become soggy as a result! It was obviously designed only for those who eat the entire package quickly! I always have to place it in a ziploc bag (since it's unhealthy to eat the entire package that quickly).
