It's not a good deal. Not even close. This size bag of Oreos is currently on sale for $2.49 at Kroger when you buy three or more.

My father invented the oreo package that opens and reseals - it was called project "arrowhead" because we used to go to sites the soil was recently excavated and find arrowsheads as a kid. Cool to see so many variations over the years

The "packaging" itself -or- the packaging with the cookies inside (aka, real world conditions)? Testing the "packaging" itself (sans the product) in adverse conditions is a huge "so-what"??
I likely answered my own question since there's no possible way that the product could sustain 100% humidity and 90+ degrees (especially long-term) without deterioration. BTW, Sonoco doesn't "package it" (as you described). They just supply the packaging to Mondelēz International.
"Saved" people from ziplock bags? What exactly does that mean?🤔 Sounds kinda dramatic!😱
You really hate the Oreo packaging.

Sonoco (who packages it) has a tropical environmental room at 100% humidity and 90+ degrees they leave the packaging in for months and it has to open/close much more than a few times, ziplocks tend to be required for other packages. "The worst" is one way to describe a package that won enough awards that nabisco used it and similar tech on a lot of their other packaging — hate to hear you've had a bad experience, its saved a lot of people from zip locks
"Saved a lot of people from zip locks"

....dude, dial down the drama a notch or two.

"When you buy 3"...many dint want three. And krogers is horrible with similar promos. Like fritos. Normally $5+ for one bag, then they do a similar deal...it's "1.99, and in small letters it says, when u buy 5.

The resealable bags beat the prior packaging easily. I don't know if you remember, but Oreos used to be shipped with simple clear cellophane plastic wrapper that once you opened it, could not be resealed in any manner.
In other words, you were required to move the cookies to an airtight container with the older packaging right after opening it.
At least with the resealable newer packaging, it stays airtight for a bit--certainly long enough for our household to finish the entire package.

It's difficult to believe that you eat stuff like this only once a year! That could easily be considered unique!
It's true! The same for goes for fast food. I do McDonald's twice a year and when I go, it's ONE big Mac, nothing else, not even fries! In fact just had minw for 2024 three weeks ago ( it was sooooo good) The only exception is if Im doing a car trip down to Florida. Then I'll have their breakfast McMuffin several times. But thats once every 5 years!

Since everyone is talking about the packaging, and not the cookies...these taste exactly like a regular oreo. I was pretty excited to try them, as I enjoy the different oreos, but save yourself on these and get the galactic pop rock ones instead if you can find them.

1) Where's the connection with finding "arrowheads"?
Do you believe that the WWII US Nuke program was called The Manhattan Project because it was made in Manhattan or meant to be dropped on Manhattan?

It was a name meant to not have a connection with what was being made.

You're right!....but for far too many, that ship has sailed!
I mean you are kinda right. It is addictive for sure. But quitting cold turkey will not make you just forget and not want sugar ever again. I quit sodas and ice cream and all that stuff, however I still get massive cravings every once and a while. Zero sugar sodas help there but also just having an ice cream sunday every couple months really helps me to not fall back into eating ice cream or something every evening.

It's more about not having a pattern of eating that just stopping altogether.

How about this novel idea??💡 How about, instead of being intentionally programmed by the manufacturer's.... "I'd better eat them fast, now that I opened them, 'cause they're gonna spoil real quick"....how about removing them from the crappy, self-destructing packaging and protecting the flavor and integrity in a SEALED ziploc bag? Crazy idea, right??
Protect flavor and integrity by putting them in a ziploc bag? Do you enjoy your food tasting like ziploc bags? I don't. Unless it's meat that I'm freezing - chips, vegetables, and other snack food takes on that gross plastic flavor super fast.

2) Nothing personal....but that resealable package is the worst! Once you've opened/closed it a few times, it doesn't seal well, air/humidity leaks in, and the cookies become soggy as a result! It was obviously designed only for those who eat the entire package quickly! I always have to place it in a ziploc bag (since it's unhealthy to eat the entire package that quickly).
If I recall correctly, you couldn't seal them at all before this was invented. So yes, this was a very big improvement IMO.
