I had a Steam Deck and it was kind of nice but I wasn't a fan of the trackpads and unfortunately just didn't like the restriction of being on Linux. I swear those Deck diehards will never mention this part. Same reason I got rid of mine.

I had just bought an open box when it dropped to $400 for $340. At the time I think it was showing regular price as $600 with $200 off. Probably dropped regular price to $500 and left the $200 off by mistake. I was planning on returning and getting new one for $300 today, but deal was gone.

After reading a few comments about having the Ally Z1 docked, I'm thinking of doing the same thing. For $240 open box the specs on this as a living room pc when docked seems pretty good.

Which Ryzen APU is the Ally's Z1 chip based on? Trying to see what the laptop APU equivalent is, seems like it might be more powerful than my 2020 G14 with Ryzen 4800H cpu.
