I got the Winix C545 in store last month for $100. It was good, then I got this C909 and returned the C545 to get 3 more C909. The C909 moves so much air. I had the C545 in the bedroom. It took a few days to notice a difference. I set up the C909 in our 800sqft family room and within 30 mins I could feel the noticeable difference in air quality. I think the C909 is an amazing deal. It's a testament to Costco buying power in order to get Winix to sell these for $200 let alone $160 on sale. The non-Costco version is the 9800 that MSRP for $330. Other retailers sell it for $260-280. Through Costco you get these for $160 with 2 years of filters. I had an expensive older Blueair model the 600 series and those were so loud with expensive filters. It ended up in storage. The C909 is quiet and powerful. I'm glad it's on sale when I'm in the market for a few.
Whattt ? Lmao
Seeing how the numbers are better and the manufacturer obviously priced higher for a reason, seems to me you just want to justify buying cheaper ones 😂.. I've had both and they are not on the same level .

This is full of BS. C909 is crap. Got 2 of them and returned the next day for C545. Much better airflow for way cheaper the money.

Yeah. How does that even make sense? It's from the same manufacturer. One is there entry level and the other is their premium offer. The C545 looks cheap. The C909 looks better with the touch buttons and light. On low the C909 already moving so much air. It says so on the box.

The c545s seem to crap out within 1-2yrs, so durability would be what makes the difference. Not knowing that it makes it difficult to say whether this is a better deal.
Generally you're better off w multiple smaller filters than one big one, so 2 of the c545s would do a significantly better job.
Been using this brand for many years. It is very reliable and performs well. Just be sure to put a calendar reminder on your phone to clean and/or replace the filters. I also use a vacuum to collect the dust around the filters.
I have been looking at Consumer Reports for air purifiers. This unit rates really well. The only downside that I saw was that it didn't clear the air as well on low speed (4/5) and it's a little loud at low speed. I had been looking at this unit as well as the BLUEAIR 211i, which rates better and is a smart buy. However, the BLUEAIR is currently $245 at Amazon, usually $350 or a little lower. This deal at Costco is great for the Winix.

In fact, I think C545 does an awesome job and the airflow is decent. I had to bring it down from Turbo mode to High mode as we felt kinda cold when it blew too much in the bedroom..

I have another purifier and I hate it because the filters are all disposable.

It has a washable pre-filter yes.
But Costco doesn't have dimensions of the white one?
