BONUS1500 Promo code during account creation to be eligible. I've personally just gone through this today, and the promo was auto-applied, showing in top banner of each page as I went through the signup. They almost caught me to create a new Savings account too with a single click, but skipped that one. On the following screen it showed me my new account and routing numbers, along with the promo details, the code and terms listed yet again.
No published expiry date at this time.

Qualifying deposit will be judged by the balance in your account from days 15-105 of account opening. For example, if you had funded the account with $50 on day 2, but then transferred $99,950 on day 14, you're eligible for $1500 bonus back in your account by day 165 of account opening. Alternatively, if you added $20,001 on day 2 and left it there until withdrawing $2 on day 104, you will receive a $0 bonus.

Surprised that nobody in this thread even understands what's going on. For $20,000, 4.35% APY over 3 months is $217.50, however you're also getting a $300 bonus, so you're getting $517.50 for 3 months. That equates to10.35% APY.

This is the same for the other deposit amounts.
Doesn't look like it if you currently have one.
They clearly address that at the beginning of the footnotes at bottom of main deal page, listing multiple account types open with them "on or after January 1, 2022" as making you ineligible for this offer. I'd encourage all to RTFM for straightforward questions like these.
There are quite a few other High Yield Savings Accounts that don't have such restrictions and have higher rates of return. Here's a list I compiled this morning:

APY
Amex: 4.35
Sofi: 4.6, $300 bonus direct deposit
Synchrony: 4.75
Wealthfront: 5.00 (get .5 bonus for 3 months if you refer a friend)
Citbank: 5.05 (5k minimum deposit)
Texas capital: 5.1
Everbank: 5.15
Ufb direct: 5.25
Western alliance: 5.36

For 100k you would earn $5,360 per year at Western versus $4,350 + 1500 = $5,850 with the Capital One deal. If you have less than 100k to invest the other options are better.

Quote from IGGUS :
Ask your funding source if it makes a difference. Cap1 doesn't care how it gets to them in first 15 days, just get it to the threshold where you want it by day 14 so days 15 - 105 are set it and forget it. I specifically asked a phone rep this question in a couple different ways this AM.

For reference, I opened one of these accounts today, and skipped the transfer funds step. Around lunch time I added my source bank details in Cap1 portal, from one of the biggest US banks, to transfer 1 lump sum. Didn't even need to go through the step that takes a few days for me to verify the few pennies of test transfers.

Now saying they will have my funds next Wed.

I assume this will vary slightly for everyone, but take this as a sign that you MUST start to fund the account within a week of opening, or your balance on day 15 may not meet the threshold you want if the transfer hasn't yet fully settled.

Don't allow Cap1 the loophole to claw back the bonus!
Verifying Account
I opened one last year and did not have to verify either but every time I checked my account showed funds not available I figured they were just holding funds for awhile after a month or so I ending up calling and was told my account was receiving interest but basically my account was locked, so i was on the phone while they had to call the bank I transferred money from to verify that it was indeed my account the funds came from this took 30 minutes at least, so if after you open your account see if it says funds unavailable if not you will have to call Capital One

I have both AMEX and Capital One HYSAs. Capital One is very good with posting interest to the account on 1st of the month. AMEX on the other hand posts it by the 4th or 5th of the month. So your interest is not earning interest for 4-5 days with AMEX. Not a big deal with small amounts but can make a difference if you are getting a big interest payment.

I have a 360 checking account currently with Capital One. Do I need to close this account to quality for the 300 bonus w/ 20k deposit?

From the T&C, 360 checking is not mentioned in the excluded accounts:

If you have or had an open:
360 Performance Savings,
360 Savings,
360 Money Market,
Savings Now
or Confidence Savings account
as a primary or secondary account holder with Capital One on or after January 1, 2022, you will be ineligible for the bonus. If your account is in default, closed or suspended, or otherwise not in good standing, you will not receive the bonus.

If $70K is deposited the bonus should be $750+$300=$1050? Or simply 1.5% on $20k or more 😀

I don't think this deal double-dips. You get just the 750 for hitting the 50k threshold plus the APR.

That's fair, but counterpoint, anyone who has millions generally isn't going to be manually managing dozens if not hundreds of accounts. They would use intrafi or other means.
Making money is one of my hobbies and i enjoy managing my wealth...I am very good at it and don't need 3rd party help managing my 30 or so accounts.

If I already have a Capital One account (before 2022), can I still open a new one, transfer my money from my old Capital One account to a different bank and then transfer it back to the new account? Would that still work in terms of an 'external deposit'?

As far as I understand, the only reason they call them 'cafes' and not 'banks' is because they don't have anyone in that cafe that can actually touch your money aka Bank Tellers. As soon as you add tellers, you become a 'bank' and then a world or regulations and restrictions land in your plate. Thus, all their banking activities are done through the ATMs.

I do think the Cafes have their ATMs where you can deposit money however I am not sure if it will take 70K in deposits.
