We got this model as a replacement in our office kitchen at work a year or two back. Has been rock solid. I like the smaller ice cubes it makes instead of the big Amazon smile style cubes when it come to filling water bottles.

The water filters were initially hard to find, but found the Insignia NS-WF26SS0-1 [bestbuy.com] is an exact replacement.
My local electricity rate is so high that the cost to purchase this fridge is about 2.x years of electricity to power it. This fridge uses 715 kwh per year per its energy guide. Our rate for 1kwh is $0.35 off peak, $0.5x peak hours and $0.65 summer peak hours. Man I'm just whining about the high electricity rate not the fridge.
Just bought it. French door design sucks.

Yes. But,

These smaller Chinese companies use older simpler tech (less issues?). They also don't have the experience the big companies have to make something that will purposely break after 5 years but usually not before.

I'm looking at you Samsung.
Made in USA or bust. Anyone who trusts a major appliance made in a Chinese sweatshop is a fool.

I canceled my order. The narrowest clearance along the entryway path is 31", which is too narrow for the fridge unless we remove its doors. Unfortunately, the delivery crew does not remove the doors.

That can't be true. My delivery guys removed my front door on my first delivery. Ordered a second for my mom and it also didn't fit through her door, but the second delivery team did a trick where they opened one fridge door so it would be thinner to enter on its side, and angled it in. That worked out well.

Lowe's subcontracts delivery work to local outfits, so it's different practice based on your area. I talked to a store manager earlier today and she said the crew wouldn't normally do more than just delivering the item because they were on a tight schedule, however I could probably make a special arrangement with the crew (perhaps with a tip) and make sure whoever does the delivery knows how to remove the refrigerator doors. I'll talk to the Appliances manager in the morning and see if the special arrangement can be made. Thanks for the comment.

I don't think the fridge doors have to be removed. I wouldn't have believed it either until they did their pivot trick. They opened fridge door so the fridge door went in first. Then they curved the rest of the body in. Hard to type out but they'll probably know what I mean.

I talked to the Appliances manager and the crew would not remove and reassemble the refrigerator doors. About finding a creative way to slide a 34" refrigerator through a 31" door, he says it's up to the crew if they are willing, knowledgeable, or have the time to do it. You were lucky. It's just too many buts and ifs for me. Too bad, I thought the manager could be more helpful. Thanks again the comment.

Midea is a huge company. They are one of the largest (or maybe the largest?) air conditioner manufacturers in the world. They OEM for some of the big American HVAC names.

I have had a Midea dishwasher for a couple years now with absolutely no issues after going through a number of name brands failing around 12-18 months. The Midea appliance was lower cost than most others, while being very full featured. Very happy and as our current refrigerator has a sealed system issue which is pretty expensive to fix I have ordered this Midea and should have it by the end of the week.

Is your provider PG&E? I have PG&E and pay those rates. About an hour north of me, they only pay about a 1/3 of that with SMUD ($0.1183/kwh off peak and $0.1633kwh peak) :/

Ok so I purchased one and had it delivered. It has been running for almost 24 hours and the refrigerator is only 49 deg F and the freezer is 31 deg F. Can anyone comment if this is normal and it needs to run longer?
