Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G tablet at Metro for $49.99. Add it as a second line with minimum $20 data plan. I'm just ordered mine few minutes ago. it was showing OOS until last night but it became available this morning. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. don't really need it but why not at this price. Total paid $75 with $20 data plan and $4.xx taxes.
FYI - for those not aware - you'd need to have an existing Metro account to be able to purchase this tablet (or any other device as a second/additional line. Like any other Metro phones, this tablet purchase is prepaid, and so you are not locked into any kind of contract. You only need to pay for the tablet and first month of data plan. Then you are free to cancel the service, keep the tablet just as a regular wifi device. This is my first time buying a Metro tablet but I'm still hoping it will unlock after 6 months just like any other Metro phone.
Warning ? ️ - try not to go to Metro stores. They are in general scammers and will try their best to treat you like a fool and steal your money by forced up selling and forced mandatory accessories, exorbitant taxes, and insurance with or without your consent. Try ordering online. You've been warned ??????

Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.
Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.
The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.
When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.
And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.
To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

would love to know if there is a way to order multiple tabs on the same account
tbh i would order one more at 20, but i dont feel like calling about it. feel like i'm pushing my luck. i might try again in a day or two, or more i'm hoping the error message online clears up. the cs lady said it was because my first tablet wasnt activated yet, but since i received that about an hour ago and activated it, i'm not sure.
now that i think of it i should have just asked her if i could order two.
I also thought about trying to get the 50 refunded for the one I just got, but again just dont want to push my luck. I'm not fond of badgering CS people.

as for the tab itself, it's nice. i wasnt sure if it supports dex, so i was pleased that it does. screen is not the best lcd, but also fine. tab is a little choppy, probably due to 4gb ram again fine. i've been using a google pixel tablet, and i forgot how much i like samsung tablets better. i found a 3rd party bt kb case for the a9+ for ~40 on amazon, not sure if worth ordering. it supports bt and not the pins on the tablet like an official kb, but actually looks pretty decent. from what i researched online their may not be an official kb case for the A9+, at least not released in the USA (it would be too expensive to make sense anyway, but, Samsung KB cases are the best). the one biggest downfall remains the 4gb ram, but it's as much as the fire max 11. yeah, this utterly crushes the max 11 at this price point in every way.
yeah i tried dex on the tab itself, i dont use it with an external monitor.
i like dex because it makes the tablet a little more like a laptop when used with a kb.
i used my s7 tab in place of a laptop this way for some time, which i only use on my coffee table to use websites with the game destiny 2 on my series x lol. with the official kb case it was a slick setup. it's not nearly as good as a dedicated laptop imo, but it works and dex helps. i hate using my pixel tablet as a laptop.
i see some Chinese brand bt kb cases for the a9plus on amazon for as low as 30. but i realized they need to charge separately since they dont use the pins. i'm assuming battery life is very long tho. not sure if its worth it over just a separate bt kb/mouse setup which i already have. also i dont like trackpads and whenever i use a kb case i use a mouse instead. no telling on quality on those either since they are too new to have many customer reviews. i guess the advantage is the built in stand and that you could fold it up as a case.
Edit: I would get the "fintie" brand case since I seem to have heard of them before, it's only 32.99, and is the most popular with 500+ bought in last month and 77 reviews. Plus it doesnt have those garish RGB lit keys like the others.
edit: i played with the tablet some more and i'm not that impressed. it's choppy, bogs down when updating, and the screen is not that great. i think the 2 i got is plenty. a high end tablet it's not.
Can you check if you may use Samsung Dex function or at least have the app pre-installed? Just want to confirm as Dex is confirmed available for the 8/128GB variant, not sure if this 4/64GB has it or not. Thanks.

since i have abused metro deals a lot in the past i assume they just flagged my account to some degree or something, or maybe because i'm brand new account. dont care since i got my one. which i got ship notice today, delivery tmrw. super fast as usual, ordered Tuesday receiving thursday.
i dont think you have to cancel anything, autopay is not on. and i have no stored payment method, so there is no way they can charge me. theres no contract, service just lapses when you dont pay. this is what happened when i did metro deals in the past. i also dont think you can mess up 180 days unlock. the timer starts on activation.
edit: unless you are trying to cancel and get a prorated refund on the first months 20? is that possible?

2. i think some are automatic, iirc they said iphones unlock automatically but dont quote me, some you will have to dig in settings or find and an unlock app on the phone and find an unlock toggle and click it. it kinda varies by phone for android.
just make sure it's time because iirc i misjudged the date by a few days for some and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't unlock til i realized my mistake. but it was an android for me.
