Amazon refurbished. In my experience, they have been new, never used.

these are TERRIBLE smart TV's - I own one.

As normal TV's they are eh whatever.
Yeah I can imagine a monitor that's 4x the cost of this TV is a bit better.
not this TV but I ONLY use 40" - 43" 4k TVs now for PC monitors.

I had a 6 monitor angled setup. The thing that they DONT tell you is the neck strain from looking up. Its cool for awhile then it gets annoying.

Once in awhile target or bestbuy will have new 43" tvs for $150 or less. This tv is good size for portability and mobile tv carts

I've never had an issue with neck strain but 40" monitors are kind of in that " just right zone". I actually find it's helpful to raise them a couple inches.

Currently using a $50 insignia 1080p tv as my external laptop monitor. Pictures and text do seem a bit fuzzy. Maybe a regular monitor would fix those viewing issues

Anyone use the 43" as a computer monitor on your desk?
I have a 43" Insignia F30 as my pc monitor bought from Best Buy during a sale for $150.
It replaced a Dell 32" monitor.
Compared to the Dell the insignia has faster response and superior color and resolution.
I play FS 2020 and Assassins Creed Origins with graphics maxed out.
To me it's best change I've made.

I'm looking for a cheap tv to bring out to the patio during cookouts (using google tv 4k dongle). Can't imagine a cheaper serviceable option

I looked at this at Best Buy because they had an open box for cheaper than this. Realized this seems to gobble up almost twice the electricity of comparable models from everyone else. Any idea why? It sounds like a silly reason to pass on a TV except that if you save $40 on a TV but it costs you $20 more per year to operate, it's not very long before you end up behind.

edit: it was Insignia Fire TV, not sure how this compares

Terrible as far as what? I own one and it is my favorite TV because it comes with the firestick.

I'm used to an Apple TV. Snappy response. No errors.

The whole "fire" experience is push a. Button and wait 60 seconds and pray that it's actually doing something and isn't locked up.

I received mine mid last week. I can confirm that I got a brand new TV even though the outer box has a label that says refurbished.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. In term of color and brightness, I ended up using "Natural" preset with Action Smoothing set to 0. The Dynamic Brightness does its best to darken black area, but, I ended up turning it off since it's making the entire screen noticeably darker.

Get a 43" monitor instead. The flicker is gonna fark your eyes using a TV as a monitor, and the text will be blurry. Plus no auto wake from mouse is ultra a noting.

Buy an actual 43" monitor and you'll be way happier. Also many monitors have features like picture by picture and picture in picture which is nice.

I have a lg un700-b and am extremely happy I made that decision over the tvs I was considering. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...4QQAvD_BwE

I've been using a 10 year old lg tv for a monitor when I play my Xbox with mouse/keyboard. I haven't had any issues but don't want to do any harm. Can you explain what the issue is? Thanks

Mine arrived cracked =/ now to wait until woot responds. Hopefully send another. Arrived in thin cardboard box, 2 styrofoam to hold it in place. Not much of a gap between the glass and the cardboard

It locks up sometimes, true. But most of the time is fine.
