Taxes and fees are included. This is the normal price, so no reason to rush straight into it. So long as you haven't done it in recent past, take advantage of the free month first. Just make sure to cancel it a few days earlier, as they will renew it at that monthly plan a few days before the end of the trial period. You can cancel that and replace it straight into the $72 annual plan from their dashboard. Just did it last month. Perfect plan for a flip phone.

This is not a new deal. They've had this light plan for ages at this price

I assume you ported in a number to have the free trial. Do you cancel the free trial and continue with the $72 plan with the same ported-in number?
You just login to your account before the end of the free trial and add the yearly plan to that number. That ends the trial period and starts your year of service. It's important to do it before the trial is over, as they may roll you into a plan you don't want. I'd suggest doing it 24-25 days in.

Thanks, that's quite clear instructions. It's odd they roll you into a plan ahead of time.

Tempted to get something like this for my daughter as her first phone. Also, idk if anyone else saw the $5 cash back on ID.me. Didn't really look too much into that. Not sure how it works. Maybe someone here has utilized it.

This is not a good plan. Check out good2go mobile. $5 for unlimited minutes and texts, with 1GB of data, NO CUT OFF.
Good2go has taxes added on top of that price which ends up around the same price as USMobile with taxes included already.

And Good2go has horrible user ratings online: https://www.trustpilot.com/review...mobile.com

Another possibility is that you lose your phone number if there's a lapse in service, in case they don't roll you into any plan because there's no payment method on file. The free 30 days is nice, but sorta opens up these requirements and possibilities that have to be managed.

Good2Go does have throttled "unlimited" data after 500MB and is the cheapest plan available with such feature. You won't be able to do much with it but at least you can still do a google search and imessage and RCS messages on android would still work. US Mobile is a hard cap and data stops after 1GB. It does cost a bit more with taxes but it might be worth it if you need "unlimited" data.

Hello Mobile cost even less at $5 tax included and you don't need to purchase an annual plan. The US Mobile lite plan cost $10 if you don't purchase the annual plan.

Most low cost MVNOs don't have great CS but you don't really need to call them too often anyway. Take the reviews sites with a huge grain of salt. Verizon has a even lower rating lol.

$10 2GB shared data plan is better option for people who don't like to be locked into a year.

If you don't mind annual plan concept, Good2go mobile is better deal considering it's $60/$65+taxes BUT also has soft cap data (very reduced speeds after using 1gb) instead of hard cap (data shuts off completely).

Otherwise? I think 2GB monthly plan is best option between really cheap MVNOs. HelloMobile $10 plan is 1gb, Good2go mobile $10 plan is also 1gb (has taxes BUT is soft cap also requires auto pay enabled for $10 price), Tello 2gb plan is $10 but also has taxes+fees & is hard cap no longer soft cap data.

US Mobile is also only really cheap option for Verizon network (if you pick Warp 5G as network). This is NOT like Google Fi where you have access to multiple networks on singular plan/sim. US mobile you have to choose what network you want to use (Verizon*Warp 5G or T-Mobile*GSM). You can switch to other network but need to change sims and I believe pay $8 network transfer fee (every single time).

Mint Mobile I had for a year, decent service but paying annually is only affordable option and it's not easy. I know for 11/12 months I had it I barely used 1gb of data out of the 5gb.

Tracfone plans can be topped off. It's not cost effective.

But, if you might accidentally use 24GB....your usage is probably very high and you probably don't want a 1GB/month plan.
I'm on 5GB plan with another provider and accidentally used it up earlier this month. I usually use mostly WiFi and less than 1GB. After I added another 5GB, somehow that got used up too. Luckily, it's got unlimited slow to mostly get me by and I've got less than a week of limited use.

I think it's because I'm getting a poor WiFi signal and its switching to data. I was turning on and off data, but probably forgot to turn it off a few times, maybe watching something overnight.

I don't follow cell plan deals, but this is razy how cheap it seems. I have four Simple Choice lines on T-Mobile which I pay just under $100 for each month. And those are the oldest/lowest tier plans they have. Granted, I have unlimited (I think) data, but this is just insane.
Look at h20, if you can get good service with At&t in your area, and you'd like something with throttled data after the first GB of high speed. $100 per line per year.

can you choose tmobile or verizon network? how?
They usually send you two SIMs, at least they did when I trialed them 6 months ago. The dark blue sim is Verizon, as I recall.

Edit: I see this was already addressed.

This brings up an interesting possibility for me.

I have a Vonage phone line which I have been itching to get rid of but don't want to lose its phone number. Is it possible to port the Vonage number over into this plan? And then forward this number from US Mobile to one of my T-Mobile lines?
Wouldn't it just be cheaper to port over to Google voice?

I didn't know it was possible. I thought with Google Voice you just get one of THEIR free numbers. Do you have the steps / link to a how-to? Thank you.

They had a 90 day trial of unlimited. Everything worked fine with them.

I dislike the hard caps a lot of companies have after you hit your data limit. Moved over to tello because they slowed data after your max. They recently changed to no data after the limit like Us mobile. Seems like these companies must be making good money with their data options.
