Lyca Is the worst! Porting out took me more than a month!!! (Note: I switch carriers every 3 to 6 months … usually takes less than an hour). And they overcharged me. AVOID LYCA AT ANY PRICE!

I have been on a US mobile trial plan and very happy with them, plan to pay for one year out. worth comparing the two.

I also had a good experience with them recently. Getting the account activated was seamless. Porting out wasn't too bad... I had to call customer service, but they gave me the account number and PIN without any delay or hassle at all.

Has anyone purchased this in the US but used in Europe (Ireland, England, Germany... Etc.)? Going over the pond in a month and trying to find a prepaid card I can buy in US and use overseas with my Galaxy S23 (currently on ATT).

Just activated this and it says my plan expires in a month. Doesn't show that it's on month 1 out of 3 like it does on Mint. Is this normal? Can I expect this to work fine for 90 days?

I remember they had future month showing as reserved plan in the app and next month automatically activates once 30 days are over. They usually run a 30-day plan.

Bad APN maybe? Check and update settings from this page: Mobile Web Settings | Enable LTE/4G on Android & iPhone (lycamobile.us) [lycamobile.us]

Port out is kind of annoying because of their verification process. You have to call. Make sure if you have certain verification info like the 2 most frequent numbers called, birthdate and last 4 digits of of cc. It took me like a 20-30 minute phone call but my number was ported out shortly after the call. I've done it twice so far.
I 'm aware of that. I gave them all information they asked for verification. They just kept telling me some information is incorrect, but won't tell me what exact is incorrect. After a couple of phone calls, they marked my account. As soon as I call in, they refused to talk to me and asked me to email customer services. Again, I provided all information in email. They still claimed that some information is incorrect even though I sent them my account details and phone call history screenshots in Lycamobile App. I don't know what else can I do at this moment ... I'll have to give up my phone number and leave Lycamobile.

60 days is the limit. You can always buy a new one , this offer is not going away anywhere.

The problem is they dont have option to convert sim to esim. If you lose or break phone esim transfer also not clear. Their cc has gone down hill for some reason. But we do get 5g with decent speed. I can confirm that.

You can go with their long term plans. Its not that bad really. Once you use it for a quarter you can then get the latest usage. I think after the hack incident it has become really bad for them secuirtywise. Hard to move primary number with this kind of support

Careful. T&C list Auto enrollment in renewal cannot be disabled for discounts to apply. Not sure if that means you could cancel right after the 90 days. The next 90 is at $60.

Thanks! I use prepaid services with GV. I have no problem waking away from them. Just venting. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. Also one of the most odd policies I've heard in years.
