Google just increased the trade-in value for older Apple and Samsung tables .

Accepting tablets starting from S6 lite and Ipad from 6th Gen.

Check your trade-in value at website.

You'd probably have gotten a ton of thumbs ups if you didn't include weird "cult of apple/cult of google" rhetoric.

You're not wrong. If you currently have a Samsung tablet that you love and are just looking to upgrade, you'll generally get better deals trading it in to good ol' Sammy in the states. If you have an old IPad, you most likely won't like the change in ecosystem. However, if you have the oldest tabs that Google is accepting trade-ins for, like the S6 Lite, you do get a better trade-in deal here.
Incorrect, some of the apple tablets are completely obsolete because of no more updates, so they are paper weights. Cant access app store, cant download any new apps, only thing you can do is use it as a web browser and even thats limited.
Umm, 'more valuable'? ios do Youtube Revanced? That's just one example

One third the price? What? They were in similar price ranges with iPads. And iPads will last way more than that.

Tell me, which will last longer? A iPad 10th Gen for $349, or a Pixel tablet for $499?
As an Android/Samsung/Pixel fan for a decade, I am with you, not Pete. I had Pixel flagship phones that died in just over a year and Samsung tablets with broken "features" and my last Samsung phone was an S22+ flagship I bought for the dual Sim feature. That phone would randomly switch default data, randomly turn off WiFi calling and Bixby had functions that failed. Out of frustration, I bought an iPhone and all dual Sim features, everything including Shortcuts (Bixby equivalent) work flawlessly so if I am out of AT&T coverage areas, my caller is routed to my Verizon number on my iPhone. Also, during the last decade of my frustrations with Google and Samsung products, my wife has been using her iPad all along no problems! I bought an iPad 9th generation for $250 new two months ago and it does everything and runs all apps I had on my androids. The iPad 10th Gen is better than the Pixel Tab so Pete can keep his "table" and erroneous prices he is quoting.

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% for Android flagship phones over iphone. I think both the OS and apps are very well-developed for android phones. But the tablet market is a separate issue.
