Why aren't these digitally in 4k? I looked up Planet Earth III and the same situation. I have Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II in 4k digitally.

Yes, my point is more the digital vs physical. Buying this digitally will be about the same quality as streaming, as popped to the quality you'll get with the physical disc.

Did you buy Season 2 some how? I own Season 1 on 4K disc as well, but didn't know Season 2 came out until now, and don't see any way of buying the 4K disc like with Season 1.

It's not looking good. Since my message, I've been researching, and it looks like BBC stopped with Season 2 Blu-Ray in UK, no U.S. release.
Think I'm going to buy this digital, and if in the slim chance it's ever released in 4K properly, I'll double-dip

Took some monkeying around but I was able to find Season 1 on Apple TV (the link takes you to Season 2 on here) for $5 as well as getting Season 2 of BBC Dynasties for $5.

Hopefully BBC will upgrade them to 4k and Apple will upgrade them as well. Do love watching Attenborough's nature shows.
