$32 for 12pcs of chicken? KFC prices is wild. Barely see anyone inside when I pass by the store.
Some grocery stores have fried chicken you can buy. I usually get 8pc for $8-10. Generally tastes about as good as KFC, not quite up there with Popeyes.
Sometimes they run deals and have 8pc for $5, so I've always rolled my eyes at KFC. It's pretty dead around here for a reason: paying $2-3 for a piece of chicken is bullshit lol
Yeah, same here, I went to one a few weeks ago and they got rid of the filler boxes that used to be 5.00, then went up to 6.00, now they don't have any. Only thing I got was the pot pie combo, it was 6.99 but it only comes with a drink, no sides. KFC is too expensive for me now.

Yesterday I got jack in the box, mcdonalds and burger king, 1.49 soda from mcdonalds, 1.00 any size fry deal from jack in the box, and I used reward points to get a free whopper from bk. All 3 places are on the same street so didn't drive far.
For those that don't know, when I was browsing the jack in the box website for deals I noticed they have a deal for 2 jumbo jacks for 5.00, I didnt feel like eating 2 jumbo jacks so I went with the 1.00 large curly fries.

I haven't done fast food in near 25 years, how expensive has it become if a "deal" is KFC for $18?

Albertsons fried chicken is really good for the price. I love KFC original though with some white rice 😂

Because if you like Coca Cola fountain products, McDonalds is tops. There's a reason why McDonalds doesn't have the all in one machines like everybody else. That and they charge way less for a soda than the competition. And if you're in Florida, Publix for fried chicken.
The guy I was asking went to 3 different fast food restaurants to get his meal. Seems like a waste of time to go to McDonalds just for a fountain drink that cost $1.49. And I concur with Publix for chicken. When I moved to South Carolina I was surprised at the quality. I'd often get the buffalo chicken tender sub. They load it up too.

Fast food isn't worth it since the pandemic ended. Unless you get the rare deal like Arby's free 1/2lb beef n cheddar they have going on this month.

Bought 12 pounds chicken thighs for $12 today. Got myself all the additions to make homemade chipotle cost me $40 total. Red onions be pricey but lucky peppers were on sale $0.50/each.

Chicken marinating right now, in about 12 hours I'll be making 30 pounds of Chipotle copycat. 10 pounds of that is chicken meat. A much better ratio of about 1:1:1 versus actual Chipotle being like 1:2:3. Chicken then beans and lastly most rice.

If you don't count soaking and cooking time, maybe 1.5 hours of effort. Easily would have been $200 at Chipotle and I'm getting more chicken in my ratio.

It'll probably taste better too. I don't understand so many people's obsession with buying low-quality, over-priced food and drinks. I get that food prep isn't fun, but spending so much of your income on trash food is a lot less fun. And don't get me wrong, I'm not completely against fast food, hence why I'm posting on this thread, but they really after to sucker me in with a good deal.

Of course jack in the box has 2 for 5 jumbo jacks and also a tacos for .99 they also have a HUGE banner etc. saying EBT accepted here… but NOT those prices rather nearly double the price in the restaurant… KIND of sad the people struggling getting EBT is who jack in the box takes advantage of, not to mention taxpayers.

have a local place that normally is cheaper and better... they have raised their prices though so now they are probably about = with KFC

they are just a local bar but have always been known for their fried chicken so they always have take out orders ... probably fry more chicken than kfc

other than that, we have pizza ranch around here which for chicken is same price... (yes their name is pizza ranch but their fried chicken is better than their pizza)

personally speaking, when it comes to chain restaurants i would say it is always dependent on who actually is in charge of a particular chain.... my friend was confused that there were more burger kings around here than Mcdonalds and said Mcdonalds were always better because they aren't sloppy with topping their burgers

In my experience around here its the other way around and after having both he agreed... was very confused. All i know is when i was in high school my friends working at burger king got paid more than at mcdonalds which probably explains the service quality

Today I saw a new KFC deal being advertised on TV... 8 pieces for $10. every Tuesday. If you got two orders of this, you'd have 16 pieces for $20. More pieces for your money than this 12 for $18.
