Here is what I did.
- Ordered through Live sales agent chat ONCE the BestBuy store was closed.
- Provided Indianapolis, IN 46250 for the pickup (Best Buy is 4 mins away from Micro Center). Note: If you give other zip code that is not near Indianapolis Micro center, they will not give offer mostly. Somebody suggested to change the pickup location at the last moment and I did not try that.
- Once order is placed, called Customer service 1 (888) 237-8289. Online Sales agent chat was not able to handle this request as they are sales team. Also they told me I can't change about pickup/shipping for MacBooks. MAKE SURE to call before store opens otherwise order status will change and you will not be able to modify.
- Customer service was able to change the order to either home delivery or other store. I gave location of other store where there is no Sales tax. I specifically asked about tax and Customer service told me that I would get refund for the tax I paid within 24 hours. If you don't care about tax changes then ship it to your home and do not discuss anything about tax with customer service.

The online chat rep asked me for my zip and then I gave him the one that the microcenter was located in (46250) and then he said it was only available for in-store pickup at the bestbuy near that microcenter which I said was ok, asked for an invoice and paid for my order and closed the chat. Called up their phone support and asked for my order to change from instore pick up to shipping, the lady asked me for my address and changed it no problem.
This is an insane deal and still works. I didnt have to worry about stores opening/being closed because the BB store near this microcenter was OOS of the model I ordered. I kinda wanted the space black model but for the price difference I wont cry ($1848 vs $2,199 from bhphotovideo after signing up for their CC)
I have been eyeing getting this model from bhphotovideo for $2199, now I scored one of the best deals I am sure there will be on this model! Thank you for this amazing deal! (beats the snot out of a refurb deal as well)
But sure BB is being jerks about offering a no-hassle $75 at any one of their 1,000 stores in the USA, 7-days a week.
Keep it forever and use it every day... no one is saying it doesn't function. But if you think it's got some amazing 2X value vs. what BB gives you, go for it man
