An OK deal, not fantastic price but not a unreasonable rip-off either. The major selling point would be if you want a flavored powder that does not use sucralose. This one uses stevia.
I personally find no value in that (sucralose tastes better than stevia), but some people do.

I prefer something without artificial sweeteners, just want the healthiest whey protein and don't care about taste.
I tried Orgain Chocolate recently and has been terrible on my stomach. I think its the sweetner they use.
I'd try Natural Force organic grass fed whey:

Naked Whey is really popular and clean, but not organic:

Or if you want to go plant-based/ vegan, Garden of Life:

Unflavored in inherently "cleaner". Most unflavoreds only have the protein and some lechtin. Not sure what that does, but it must be important because everyone has it.
You can glean a little from the nutrition label, but it is subject to rounding. There is no guarantee a powder that is 100% calories from protein probably is different than one that is 95% calories from protein - they're just rounding differently. Now, 100% and 60% is a difference, showing lots of extra carbs and fat.
If my primary concern was "clean-ness" (which it isn't), I'd go with an unflavored, non-GMO pea protein. Most peas are grown in Canada where regulation and food quality is pretty good. It's also gritty and doesn't make a good shake - use it in thicker drinks like smoothies or baked goods.
That said, I buy flavored whey. I know the manufacturers may be filthy, but I also don't eat a ton of it.
Same 😀
Third party labs can't be trusted. They're just marketing.
They are paid for and created by the supplement industry.
They aren't going to create and fund organizations that will flunk them. They set standards and procedures they can pass.

I guess in the absence of objective tests and oversight by something like consumer reports or an updated labdoor test, the company reputation and track record would work.
I go with Now, as they have been one of the big promoters and practitioners of evidence-based supplements, quality ingredients(branded trackable ingredients rather than cheap no-name stuff from the lowest chinese source), and extensive in-house/third party lab tests. This is not a brand that just appears one day, pushing shitty products to make a quick buck and disappear.
They sell unflovored whey, in concentrate and isolate verieties. They're not the cheapest, but their pricing is usually fair.
I stand corrected.
You trust them.
Therefore, definitionally, they can be trusted.

Have been using Puori for a few years. Pricey, but tastes great and it's clean. 3rd party tested. Can be had for a good bit less on sale, with coupon(s). When there's a 30% off coupon, I'll just buy a few bags.

etc.
Some recommendations from a different SD thread:

"I dont understand why this stuff is so cheap because even on consumer reports it had one of the best scores for least heavy metal contamination. and it has 30g of protein and 6g BCAA.
The five products that got the best overall scores were:
Pure Protein Vanilla Cream 100% Whey
Performix Pro Whey Sabor Vanilla Protein with Amino Beads
BodyFortress Super Advanced Vanilla 100% Whey Protein
BioChem Vanilla 100% Whey Protein
Puori PW1 Vanilla Pure Whey Protein"
Very good tasting, and clean ingredients.
