Equal to or better than 4080S in Raster. Gets smoked in Ray Tracing.
I think this might be the cheapest you can get 7900XTX. I just bought my 7900xt through Zip came out to be $676 shipped.
7900 XTX has a marginal advantage in raster (i.e. fps), but 4080 Super wins in basically every other category. Features (DLSS, frame gen, ray tracing perfrmance, are all better with NVIDIA right now), power consumption is lower, resale value down the road is higher (seriously, go look at current prices for 3080 on eBay). Plus, if you have any interest in AI/LLM, NVIDIA really is the only option.

So you have to decide whether saving $200 (MSRP of 4080 Super is $1000 and there are a couple models usually available at that price) is worth just the marginal raw fps advantage. That's the way I looked at it when I made the decision a couple of months ago. I ended up going with the 4080 Super.

After so many Amazon and Newegg scams, I really dont want to buy high-end PC parts.

I'd suggest to record the process of opening the mail package of this item, installing and testing this GPU all in one take.

I am sure my AMEX card would go with my words if I present enough hard evidence.

But I am not sure if Zip would do the same.
Yep, pretty shady to attach the best price to usurious finance vehicles to get people hooked on the bnpl trend. This should be on the title, and tbh not FP.

It's interest free, though you do need to pay a few bucks as a fee(around $5).

Not a bad deal, just don't buy what you can't afford, and make sure to make your payments on time. Typical financial responsibility.

ZLUDA translation has basically no losses for amd cards, ROCM is seeing more interest/usage. This is why the 5000 series is being released so soon, new MI cards are pushing Nvidia to compete.
ZLUDA only made it to alpha and then got abandoned by the developer. It says right there on the github.

Really annoyed with zip pay. I purchased this deal but quickly cancelled because of an error on my part. I tried to repurchase it but I ended up getting banned??

I know this is an dumb question when it comes to GPUs but for 1440p gaming alone is this worth the $400 (after taxes and stuff) jump over a 7900GRE?

We all may have different uses but after some more research I held on to the GRE for 1440p. I'm thinking the next gen gpu's will be cheaper for what performance they bring even if they are not competing with nvidia's top end.

Yeah. I'd definitely stick with gre for 1440p. 7900 xtx will remain king in AMDs next launch from what we can tell but we have to assume there will be more solid ray tracing cards later this year for 1440p ~$500 from amd

7000 series was such a lateral move, it almost makes the 40-series from Nvidia look like real gen over gen improvements.

8000 series and 50-series will hopefully show some real gains and better pricing.
