Are you still alive? Every conceivable thing that could possibly go wrong to a person went wrong with you with these routers. Sorry to hear that but I do network installations everyday 6 days a week and these are bulletproof hate to say it it's you

Looks like "The only difference is that the 5GHz and 6GHz bands have slightly lower theoretical bandwidths despite having the same 2x2 specs"

How did you dedicate the WiFi 6 as wireless backhaul? Can't find the setting on the app.
Wi-Fi Settings > 6 GHz Network > Use 6 GHz Wi-Fi for > Dedicated Backhaul

This doesn't mean it will use only 6 GHz for the backhaul... it means 6 GHz will not be used for anything except backhaul. This means the backhaul can still use other frequencies.

That was then. This is now I had 4 Deco M9 plus that I replaced with XE 75s.... Only F up I made was I did not get the 2.5 port. That's okay. I'll just use these as satellites out on the perimeter. News flash guys. I kept my Deco M9 plus it's alive for 3 years without one day down just by simply going to home Depot or Lowe's and buy those gumdrop shaped feet that raise your router or access point off of the furniture that it sits on. It needs to have that circulatory area if you notice the total top of the routers open but there's not enough air flow space. So until that time elevate your routers a bit and you'll lower your operating temperatures which will increase your output in milliwatts

I don't think Costco has ever carried this model. At least not online...This is the newly released AXE4900. The one at Costco normally is the AXE5300.
I believe the Costco AXE5300 is a better deal

Pretty good price for three bases. I have the double base XE75 Pro for which I paid $230, and it's very good for a basic mesh setup (they offer some kind of a subscription plan for additional features, which some may not like). Use them as my main router & extender through wired backhaul. Only had to reboot the system twice over the course of six months due to some TP-Link mobile app having hiccup issues. One issue I ran into was my old laptop which has 802.11n WiFi. It can't hit over 220mbps down, while on an older ASUS mesh it would get up to 270-280. It's some kind of a hardware limitation between the two. Besides that, the newer hardware works without issues.

It hands off Apple devices seamlessly between the two units as well, which my old ASUS couldn't do, because it lacked the required standards.

For a total of $195 in case you only need 2. Pretty good deal.

Was gonna buy this and try it out but it seems Amazon views this as a computer with it's return policy, thus might impose a 15% restocking fee?

What is the max distance I could set these from each other with a clear line of sight and still get sufficient signal?

I disagree. Like someone else said, the Costco model (AXE5300) has a 1Gbps ethernet port, while this model has a 2.5Gbps ethernet port. Practically, that's more useful since you can connect your NAS device or computer to the 2.5Gbps port for faster data transfer. And once your internet speed goes above 1Gbps, you can connect it to your router for faster internet. So, it's much more forward looking than the Costco model. Many folks already have 1Gbps connection, and you might as well buy a router that will support a faster connection once your ISP upgrades to a faster speed. It's not a perfect device as more one 2.5Gbps port would have been ideal; but at this price one can't complain.

The only advantage of the Costco model is that it has slightly higher theoretical wifi bandwidth for 5GHz and 6GHz bands. But that difference is not going to translate to any noticeable difference in the real world.

I went from Nighthawk Mesh to Deco Mesh and the difference is not even close. Deco all day and 3x on Sunday. Faster and easier to setup.
