In Verizon , no risk. Get the phone , activate it , Make a call, Pay off the phone ( either with in 3 days to avoid activation or after 14 days ) and cancel the line. Phone will be autoamatically unlocked.

Risk is in ATT phone which require , sim swap.

I hope this help.

This has the inefficient 8 gen 1 processor, meaning you'll have disappointing battery life. The S23+ has among the best battery life (plus it's newer, will get updates for longer, ...). So if you're not awfully tight on money, you'll likely be more pleased for longer with the S23+.

Edit: Also, the S23+ has 256 GB of storage, while the S22+ in this deal has 128 GB.

I'm going to practice on a Walmart/Verizon Samsung Galaxy a14 to make sure this works.

Trying to get the schedule right. Does this work?
- Monday (Day 0) Buy phone on Walmart website.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Phone arrives with 2-day shipping.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Activate, make a phone call and text.
- Wednesday (Day 2) or Thursday (Day 3) Call Verizon support to cancel service.
- Wait at least 60 days. You can tweak out the phone during this time, trying to uninstall bloatware, setting up an SD card, etc...
- Punch IMEI into https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...-own-phone BYOD checker. It should say the phone is unlocked and good. (It should be unlocked automatically)
- Re-activate on any USA mobile network. I'll probably go with US Mobile (A MVNO for Verizon and T-Mobile).

So what's the catch here?

My S20FE has been treating me well after a few years, but at this price if I can use this on my T-Mobile network after unlock it seems like a no brainer.
You do realize that phones were fast as I've seen em since note 7.the only major differences I've seen that would need more speed is one or two major games gfx, apps an websites full of over developed trash (like 700 video ads per page), an companies that nerf their phones at the final 2 year update ; like Apple does an it feels like Samsung did a few times. Then googlescam is liable to block your device from the play store if you haven't bought a new one in while. I used my s5 as a backup till like last year an it smoked my $100 motorola from last year. I'd still use my n7 or n9 if I didn't throw em away. They were far better than this new overpriced $600 moto I use

This is the final series with 3.5mm jacks right? Is an important point you should include. Can't have a good professional video without good external audio

Don't think of it as bloatware. Think of it like Verizon does. They are using your device to constantly advertise their name to you every 2 seconds cause you'll surely buy more if they attach their name to something pissing you off 👍

Nope, unfortunately Verizon only
I don't believe this is true... potentially some C band/block spectrum frequencies.. but generally speaking, this should absolutely work on T-Mobile's network.

If I would do this for my parents who is already using Verizon, is there a way to avoid upgrade fee? They won't switch to any other provider either.
I have called Verizon CS the last two times I activated new phones and was successful in getting the activation fee waived once I asked.

Thanks. I totally forgot there was no note 22 an thought it was the 22 series that last had the jack. Have you ever tried using a USB c adaptor to mic? I found most devices didn't see different adaptors or mics on the 3.5mm jack. An im also not big on USB c or adaptors cause it's garbage that probably won't stay in when the phone is held vertically. But would like to know if it works for others.

For sure. Unless you wanna upgrade call of duty or pub g graphics. Or you find recording in 4k takes too long to load the cam an save or something similar; like you edit videos on your device. Even editing videos is gonna be a long tiresome wait on a ultra high end PC though . Processing speed itself almost halted around 2016. That's when they started introducing multicores. Cause they couldn't improve the speed of single cores much. Most software isn't multicore programmed. An its still that main core speed that really matters.
