My measuring cups are PYREX, yes, they are quite thick, and no, there is no greenish tint.

1. Stench/smell
- Do you mean to tell me that you've never stored onions in a plastic container? If you have then you already know that onions go in, but they never come back out!
2. Staining- Do you mean to tell me that you've never stored spaghetti sauce in a plastic container? If you have then you already know how the sauce goes in but the stain never comes out!

I will stick with buying U.S.A. made. I like Snapware Total Solutions even if they are only sodalime version of genuine pyrex.
Rubbermaid glass: some have broken from a slight bump and a few were made wrong so the lids don't seal. RM replaced those. Only the plastic ones seal well enough for freezer use. Don't like how the seal prevents filling to the top. Can be extremely difficult to open frozen.
