I will respectfully disagree. As someone who bought the non-self propelled version 3 years ago, I really wish I had spent the extra money at the time and bought the self-propelled version. I've otherwise really enjoyed the mower and other Greenworks products I have.
Link? I could not find it on the AliExpress site (the one I did find was $305 for the exact same model as the Walmart one).

Also, the Walmart deal is being sold and shipped by Walmart. No weird shipping shenanigans.
With the mower as light as it is, having "self-propelled" is not really that necessary, and that option just adds more unnecessary weight, and another mechanical component that can fail.

Was going to write this and then saw your response. I bought the 80v about 6 years back and during the past 3 been mowing a 1/4 acre yard with it due to a new house. I couldn't even begin to tell you the number of times I wish I spent the extra $100 to get self propelled. With that being said I finally got a rider, but the Greenworks is still working great with the original battery.

HRM....I wouldn't buy this unless you have a lawn that requires minimum care. This 40 volt will be "enough" but if you have a normal 1/4th or 1/3rd acre yard...this won't "cut it". At minimum, you'll need the dual batteries. You'll though wish you had more juice.

60v would likely be the min, but 80v makes you feel like you got something built for life.

Again, the 40v ain't bad but if you have a "good" lawnmower already you'll convert to one of those folks who rag about non-gas mowers

I'm in Texas on relatively flat land with this exact mower. I'm mid 30s and have had it for going on 3 years and self propelled is absolutely not necessary for me. If you have a sliced yard, of course sled propelled would be more useful but for me this does the job well.
I'm in my 60's and have this "push" mower. I have no problem pushing this mower through thick St. Augustine grass.

Just one battery right... any idea how long does it take to charge? would need one recharge to get the whole lawn.

What size is your lawn? Don't someone say you get 30 minutes on a charge.

DO NOT buy 40V. It's very underpowered. It will keep getting bogged down, stopping, and frustrating you. Speaking as the owner of a 60V greenworks mower - I wish I had bought 80V.

The listing doesn't say, but it comes with the quick charger, so probably double the run time to get the charge time.

I'd definitely expect an hour to recharge at the least, though a couple reviews claimed as little as 40 minutes and others say they were still waiting after 2 hours.

I can say that my 80v 4ah takes about 90 minutes or so to recharge when I completely drain it. Obviously the 40v might be a bit different but figured I'd throw it in there.

I've got this mower. Works great for my small lawn, barely puts a dent in the 4ah battery

Just to verify this is apples to apples -- are all their mowers brushless?

I have two different 40v greenworks mowers. One self propelled and one push. They both work great but the self propelled one weighs at least twice as much and is actually more tiring to use in some cases. For big empty areas it's great but anywhere you have to go back and forth a lot it's heavy and tiring to use. It takes a little more than one 4ah battery to mow my lawn, it's pretty big, my lot is about 120' x 120'. The self propelled is brushless and the push has brushes.

Every mower I've seen there in the last 20 days says:
"Free shipping from the USA".
