Google AI says: "Yes, lenders can consider immigration status when underwriting loans, and visa holders may be considered more risky than citizens. This is because immigration status can correlate with national origin, which is protected under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Lenders can consider immigration status to assess their rights or remedies to recover funds, or if otherwise required to comply with other laws. For example, if a visa expires and the borrower must leave the country, the lender would be unable to recover the balance due on a loan."

I chose to do a 1 pay lease and just pay everything at signing. I also had offers for roughly the same total price with $0 down $254 per month, $1k down $207 per month, and $2k down $161 per month. Admittedly those are slightly better than the $6k upfront but they didn't come with the extra $2k in options which I chose to use on lease end protection and tire/wheel protection

Then you stick with a chit brand like Hyundai and Kia. Go buy a used Toyota if you're smart
You're right. A brand new 2024 4Runner and Tacoma is basically the same as a 2006 model. Their cars haven't been updated for decades. Poor Toyota.

Quote from BUYMECAR :
I own this trim MY 2022. Even though I qualified for the full EV tax credit at the time and paid it off a few months ago, I regret not waiting and leasing a RWD.

Even though owning this particular EV has been a great experience for me, I can't in good conscience recommend anyone who is not already a seasoned EV owner to do anything other than lease an EV.

The values of EVs have been so unstable in very short spans of time. The tax incentives have been so unstable and change with little to no grace periods. Service center offerings can be so unstable depending on where you live; there are stories of owners having to travel a couple hours to get issues addressed by an authorized Hyundai EV tech because their nearby dealerships are falsely advertising that they are EV certified.

And don't get me started on the charging networks. I'll just mention that there are states who have been caught misallocating federal funding that was supposed to go to installing thousands of public charging stations and the necessary infrastructure to support them but they haven't gotten as little as a slap on the hand.

There are a lot of reasons right now to hate on EV adoption but as someone who owns one and thoroughly enjoys it, I think the hate is for most of the wrong reasons. If you can get a good deal to lease this EV and have done the research on charging options near you, you should definitely give it a shot.
Agree with what you said. I own an EV but i only paid below $25k for it about 5yrs. ago. Would i pay $50k for an EV these days, heck NO. They're probably worth $30k-$40k or less in my opinion. Bottom line, they're a COMMUTER car. You can do road trips with it but be prepare for charging headaches and time and depending on the weather and what states you're in as some if not most states don't have much of a network. 90% of my drive is commute to work and i have free charging at work and that is the game changer and pretty much the main reason why i got the car in the 1st place. i have a charger hook up at home for weekends if i need it. I've had about 5 incidents where i needed to charge on the road and this was local driving in a metropolitan area and that was a pain in itself. Other than that, these cars drive great and the acceleration is great and being able to run the AC while sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone w/o having to worry about breathing the car exhaust is an added bonus. Most importantly depending on where you live and how far your commute is, the CARPOOL lane access for is key. So consider all this before getting one.

Toyota is garbage - hasn't changed in years and its old hybrid tech - worst of both ICE and EV - no need for hybrids

To be fair, the title does say "Select Colorado Dealerships" but most people chose to ignore it in the spirit of "I heard from a so-so source that supposedly there's free ice cream on Mars, so where is my free ice cream in the SF bay area?"

There's a sucker born everyday.

But that's not a fair comparison. You're making it sound like an iPhone 15 uses the same guts as an iPhone X.

My Prius is close to estimates. It is rated at 50 MPG combined highway and city driving and over the last 7 years I've averaged 49. That's not driving it slowly or trying to hypermile.

I also have an SUV that's rated at 20 MPG combined. Over the past 4 years I've averaged 21.3 MPG. Most miles have come from city driving too, where it's rated at 19 MPG.
Your one model is close. So that says what about the other r aprox 500 models that exist?

I owned a Tesla for 3 years... Great battery and chassis and drove well, but that interior and build quality overall was terrible.
Literally, a Corolla or Civic is built better and the interior is more useful.
Tesla definitetly had more space for the save sized car.
.
I honestly forgot what I responded to. But yeah, that sounds reasonable. I don't like the creaks and noise. Overall I'm very happy with it. I have another ICE car and a house so I charge at home for context.

I know it will vary by your county tax. But what is the real number you get? For $53kish model, it ends up more than >$350/month + $0 down. $225 vs $350????

"Dansan" just wanted to play games. Try to sell me a limited that I didn't even ask for a quote. Even sent the screen shot of the deal and what I am interested in.

Never gave me a quote for the SEL. Told him I would take our business elsewhere.

Why are car dealerships such a pita

Don't sleep on the 2 years of Free charging at Electrify America if it's still being offered. I have 4 months left and have rolled the majority of my 18k miles for free.
