So I haven't done a true battery test, but the closest I got was web browsing while letting a game (Oldschool RuneScape) run in the background. Brightness was just under halfway, and refresh rate was 60hz. I got about 2.5hrs on that setup. I read some reviews claiming 8-9hrs on a true video only battery test.

TLDR: It should be really good for a windows machine non gaming.

Let me reword it for you since you didn't seem to get the gist of what I meant - There is no discernable real-world difference. Real world. Not synthetic benchmarks. I personally would much rather have 32GB of replaceable DDR5 5600 (such as in the Legion 7 Pro) vs. 16GB of soldered RAM.
What you meant and what you said are two completely different things. Your comment was very clearly stated that given same-speed RAM, soldered vs SODIMM was no performance difference. And I agree with that. I'm not here to argue about real world differences.

Apologies if my questions are dumb. I'm not much of a computer expert, actually not at all ha. I have a Dell Core i7. Is this Lenovo a better performance laptop? Also is it better battery life than my Dell Inspiron? Any advice would be appreciated. Or just ignore my questions but please don't make fun of me :-)

I'm thinking of replacing my HP Pavilion Plus 14 with this, although I got my Pavilion for $479 and picking up an open box Slim 5 for $810 and unsure if the dGPU is worth the extra $330 if I'll have to plug it in anyway. From what I've read, disabling the 4060 gives the Slim 5 the same battery life as the HP as they both have the 7840HS and same OLED screen. I can return this in 2 months and I'm hoping for an extra price drop by then.

Ordered FAIR for $810, got Excellent condition. Not sure if I want to keep the HP Pavilion Plus 14 now. Main usability issue of the HP for me is only side ports for charging as I want to lay sideways on the bed and rotate the entire laptop to the side while charging. Also Blender GPU Compute does not work properly with Radeon 780M. You have to download an Alpha 4.2 version of Blender with this specific issue addressed, and even then it's still buggy.
