I'd pay the extra $70 for the Asus vivobook ($300) at microcenter if you have one near you

It has touch and probably 50% faster

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...quiet-blue

Upgrading for another $100 for 20GB (4 soldered + 16gb module) RAM and 1TB SSD is very easy as well
Why is this of all things a deal breaker? I hate touch screens on laptops personally.
You can't event get a chrome book for that price. Good luck for getting a BLU phone from QVC for $49.99

Thanks for pointing that out, it was the first thing I was looking for! I guess a lot of people around here HATE touch screens lol 🤷 ♂️

The microcenter model does provide lot more features for the additional cost. But it does not appear to be an US model. It was not/is not sold at any other retailer. Amazon has some reviews in spanish only and the reviews are not great. Some SDrs also mentioned about the hinge issue. So, I am somewhat hesitant to pull the trigger.

Definitely better than this model from bestbuy and works here in the U.S. for me.

I'll bite, why? O365 apps work fine in S mode.

30 seconds to convert S mode to Home.

It makes no sense to hate a feature like touchscreen. At the worst you don't have to use the touchscreen, just treat IT as a non touchscreen, why hate?

Not 24. You can either do 20 or 36. A 16GB stick will cost you around 30. A 32GB one around 60.

Saw it in store today, the TN panel is truly atrocious and build was mediocre at best.
