If you're not a fragrance snob and don't mind getting a clone, get Woody Oud by Maison Alhambra on Amazon for like 1/6 the price. Same quality and scent. Pretty much 99%.
I do not believe that one bit about the merchandise being old stock/returns. Screw that authorized retailer stuff. Thats so the public gets hosed via price fixing by groups of retailers locked into Map pricing. I would challenge that assesment and I would like real proof of that. A woman can buy Lamer from them or Saks 5th. Saks 5th a few hundred more per. for the same item. Some Costco customers will use half the jar and return for 100% no questions refund.

Oud Wood is another TF fragrance that men like but women seem blah on. If your target audience is men, this is probably a good scent. But if your target is women, there are probably better scents. At least according to my wife and daughter and their friends. Although I'm sure there are women who like it, but it seems like a scent that guys like a lot.

Have you ever come across a good Black Orchid clone?
I took a chance on EBAY on a black orchid. The bottle was identical and the seller said it was real. I paid $25 for it and while the scent is a dead on match, the longevity is about 2/3. I was going to return it as the seller as I felt it was a clone and the seller offered free returns but told me to keep it and refunded my money. But even at $25, now that I've had it for a while, I think it's a pretty good clone. I've saved the seller and will buy a future bottle from him even though it's not real, it's worth $25.

Black orchid is one that's gone through so many different reformulations and variations (an EDT, and EDP, a Parfum, and now a new EDT) and I've found any from the last few years just don't really last as long as older batches do. It's possible it's a fake, as many Tom Ford's are, but it's also possible it's just a reformulation that was watered down over the years

The thing about Tom Ford fragrances are that a lot are love it or hate it. Black Orchid, Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood, Noir Anthracite, Tobacco Vanille and many others. But what I like is.. Tom Ford takes the chance with them and sells them at a ridiculous price. And many of those scents have been knocked off so many times now, because he took that chance. There weren't really cherry fragrances until Lost Cherry came out, now everything's got a cherry scent to it. Most other designers are releasing very safe and similar smelling things to each other, but I like that TF goes out there with some funky stuff and I generally like what he puts out!
I saw some fragrance YouTubers praising the cherry from TF, so I went to Sephora to check it out. Too sweet, that's the problem, they rarely have a happy middle ground. They lean heavy one way or the other. I wear my absolu aventus nearly every day, can't get enough of it.
Fyi - Costco stock is almost always old inventory/returns, etc. They are NOT authorized retailers of P&G, Loreal, Prestige Produxts, etc.
Pro tip: check the batch codes for mfg date, it's usually 1-2 years old (at least). That translates into decreased overall performance, sometimes significantly depending on the synthetic molecules used in the recipe.

Fragrance enthusiasts called old used fragrances are macerated fragrances. Google "macerate perfumes".
A few months ago, I was curious about the smell of this perfume(when a similar deal was posted here). But I wasn't going to shell out $200 for it. I got a knock off from Amazon and glad I didn't spend money on the original. My wife said it was too strong and didn't like it. And that seemed to be the common opinion among most women I asked.
Oh woah, never realized Costco sells le labo. Looks like they also carry rose 31 and another 13. While the others don't have the $50 off, they qualify for "Buy More, Save More on Qualifying Beauty Items. Buy 3, Save $30. Buy 4+, Save $50. Valid 4/22/24 through 5/5/24. While supplies last. Online-Only. Limit 2 redemptions per member."
Anyone know if Costco carries other scents at other times? My favorite is the matcha 26.
