Nice; that's insane! I'll take the gamble at $500. I've had luck with my other OLED's, so just fingers crossed at this point.
1. I used the Target card I didn't have the normal price protection from my credit card.
2. I did read the one star reviews that had horror stories about the TV dying (I know it can happen to any TV). Seems like the wifi going out is a common issue.
3. I generally have a lot less trust in companies to make products that last nowadays.
4. It's an LG. The TV is highly rated but they make a lot of crappy products like w/d and fridges.
5. The Target employee was really helpful and said she had a good experience with the extended warranty. Having to use it for headphones for her daughter.
Be warned I thought I remember that the Allstate warranties don't cover burn in? Does anybody know? But I don't think 3 years is long enough to really worry about that anyways.

Hope it will last long. If you got it in box, there is no need for that warranty, but everyone has the choice to make. Personally, If Target covers it great but if it's from Allstate No, Thank you.
The quality of electronics is way down what it used to be. Buying TV from Wally is even worse.
Is it advisable to break these OLED panels in running slides or something like that? Any suggestions on settings? Calibration?
