I went to my local target hoping to find a LG C3 65" or 55". Sold out. However they just marked down the 42" to $359.99. Thats 70% off. I bought two. There were plenty of more. Big in store only YMMV!

Had an interesting experience at the Target in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. I figured no way I'd get the deal because I never get these deals, but I saw the Eagle Rock Target showed 7 in stock around 10am today. Everywhere else said OOS. I didn't believe it but looked an hour later and it showed 5. I thought, oh wow, that could mean they actually have some and are selling at the clearance price. Being 15 min away, I figured worth a shot, so I jumped in my car and raced over there.
Two nice guys were waiting in the TV area. I asked if they were there for the C3. They said yeah and that the employee was getting them from the back! She rolled up with five on a cart and asked if I wanted one! I was shocked. The first guy bought two. The second guy bought one. I bought one, and a young guy showed up after me to get the last one. I almost bought two but when the younger guy showed up, figured I'd share the love.
Turns out, others had shown up earlier in the day but were turned away because the employees didn't think they had any. I happened to show up after they found them. Took them awhile to bring them up so must have been stored in some corner somewhere in their warehouse.
This is the first YMMV deal I've ever been fortunate enough to snag and my first ever 4K display so am very appreciative! Congrats to those who also found one and good luck to those still trying!
Enjoy your new OLED TV! I was the other guy waiting in line at Eagle Rock earlier today.
Found one, but was informed Target clearance prices are location specific based on stock available. They do not match clearance prices for other stores.

It would actually be cheaper, but I would be very careful with a display OLED. If you check back people have discussed it some in this thread.
Do you think they would actually sell the display model? Seeing as it's a clearance item, I would assume that they would be more likely to be allowed to sell it (although there may be liability or technical reasons for why they might not).
Got to my target at 8am, went right to the back. I asked the lady to scan the 42inch c3 and she gasped lol. So yeah I picked it up for 359. My store also had a 55 and a 65 as of right now. Sterling va 20164
I would bet money if you went there you and can get them to check for the price update on the scanner it would update to the 70% off. If the store has stock they are clearance priced at 70% off if they get the scanner synced with the updated clearance price.
If the store has stock it's worth trying IMHO. Dont let them sit there and just scan it over and over claiming this and that. Sometimes you gotta steer them. They have to get the scanner to update to the new clearance price.
My guy just used his portable scanner and it shows as $839. Is there another type of scanner?

Do you mind posting part of the receipt please. As my local wouldn't budge. Thanks

So after I asked the guy to scan and it showed up as 839, I walked away. Walked around a bit reading the phone and then went back to the electronics to ask another rep to check if the price is updated. Looks like the previous guy updated the price without telling me. New rep scanned and said price just updated and checked me out

If it's a display model, would it still possibly be sold at the clearance price (if it's for sale at all)?

Talked to Target rep & said it's completely location-dependent
.. wish this was instock around me
