I went to my local target hoping to find a LG C3 65" or 55". Sold out. However they just marked down the 42" to $359.99. Thats 70% off. I bought two. There were plenty of more. Big in store only YMMV!

Found one, but was informed Target clearance prices are location specific based on stock available. They do not match clearance prices for other stores.
Had an interesting experience at the Target in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. I figured no way I'd get the deal because I never get these deals, but I saw the Eagle Rock Target showed 7 in stock around 10am today. Everywhere else said OOS. I didn't believe it but looked an hour later and it showed 5. I thought, oh wow, that could mean they actually have some and are selling at the clearance price. Being 15 min away, I figured worth a shot, so I jumped in my car and raced over there.

Two nice guys were waiting in the TV area. I asked if they were there for the C3. They said yeah and that the employee was getting them from the back! She rolled up with five on a cart and asked if I wanted one! I was shocked. The first guy bought two. The second guy bought one. I bought one, and a young guy showed up after me to get the last one. I almost bought two but when the younger guy showed up, figured I'd share the love.

Turns out, others had shown up earlier in the day but were turned away because the employees didn't think they had any. I happened to show up after they found them. Took them awhile to bring them up so must have been stored in some corner somewhere in their warehouse.

This is the first YMMV deal I've ever been fortunate enough to snag and my first ever 4K display so am very appreciative! Congrats to those who also found one and good luck to those still trying!
Enjoy your new OLED TV! I was the other guy waiting in line at Eagle Rock earlier today.

I got a 55 inch display unit with 8000 hours for $300, but it seems to have the target logo burnt in. Can't return it, but is there anything I can do to try and get rid of it? Pixel cleaner does nothing, I only see the logo on the burn in test YouTube videos so it could be worse, but not sure if there any fixes. Is this still a good deal? This is my first OLED and it is amazing aside from that.
Have you tried LG warranty? I would also check with your CC for purchase protection(damaged). If those dont work, you can try going the extended warranty route, if the purchase was fairly recent

Will give the LG warranty a try, skeptical they will want to service burn in on a tv purchased 1 day ago with 8000 hours on it thought, did purchase with an AmEx gold at least. If neither of these work any idea on which extended warranties are the best?

8000 hours is rough. That's nearly 3 years of usage at 8 hours a day. I would just call LG customer service, be polite, and explain Target sold you the tv and they will not allow you to return it and it has burn in. There's a 5 year panel warranty on it, I believe.

I had success with this a few years ago. Took some time on the phone with LG escalating/negotiating but ultimately I had a receipt in hand and an authorized retailer purchase, and an in-warranty TV. There's no rules about what price you bought it for. I got a brand new panel installed by LG. Think like how GameStop will sell you a brand new game but it was opened on display in their store, just unplayed. From one frame of reference, you purchased a TV that has never left their store until you took it home (new sale).

My main concern is the receipt shows "unidentified" as the item, so not sure if they will count it as proof of purchase unfortunately (https://imgur.com/a/frlsBih) Going to give it a go anyways with LG and will report back how it goes. Appreciate the response here!

As someone who's worked at Target during store hours and overnight, some of those TV's are not turned off at all. If any of them. They're just running 24/7.

Yes this receipt may add additional nuisance. You can get the correct item number from other receipts/others who bought it at Target, explain to the customer service desk and ask them to do a return/rebuy (have them ring you up correctly). In some cases though the receipt you have will do fine and it won't be scrutinized.

Any chance you purchased with a premium credit card? That's where I would go if got stuck the warranty route or denied a return. Several of my credits cards would either step in for warranty or step in to accept a return the retailer won't. Several Visa, Mastercard and Amex products carry return protection and extended warranty.

Receipt doesn't have a return by date and the manager stated when buying it there would be no returns

I did purchase with an AmEx gold, I don't particularly want to return it, would like to exercise the warranty if possible. Really appreciate all the insight you have provided, I am going to try and go through LG and then Amex if that doesn't work
