32GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Excellent build quality (from reviews), 2.2 lbs weight.
HP Dragonfly G4 13.5" Intel Evo Platform Touchscreen Laptop - 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U - 1280p - Windows 11 Pro
This was $1200 a couple of weeks back and then it went to $1099. It just dropped to $999.
This is not the newest core ultra processor, but is this not good enough for most at this price point considering the build quality? I was looking for 32GB RAM, 1TB, 14.5 inch or less. and processor from the latest gen (preferably AMD) but I don't think it can be had for less than $1000. Zenbook came close with intel 155h.

Yes please do that a few times around San Francisco and confirm when/where I should go pick one up!
Top notch quality materials and very light (2.2 lbs)
Display is bright, keyboard and touch pad are excellent.
Only downside is the HP added bloatware, you can uninstall it.
I totally recommend it for that price, not to mention the 90 days return and 2 years warranty from Costco.

Can you check the battery size? Is it 51 or 68Wh? Also, do you know if they sell these in stores?

2. Does it have nano sim slot on the left side?
3. Same question as coolcoder - is the battery size 51 or 68Whr?

2. no
3. 68
A few minor issues:
the touch screen glass make the laptop top-heavy.
The rubber feet fell off and there is no replacement unless I replace the entire bottom cover.

I just called my local Costco in SoCal. They don't carry this model in stores here.
The problem with most ultrabooks is that they just don't have a way to get rid of that heat, so it ends up burning your lap. That is the biggest reason I am steering clear of this laptop. I just bought an AMD 7840u based HP Pavillion Plus 14" laptop from another deal on SD, and I was shocked at just how cool it runs. It is also reasonably small (3lbs with a 68Wh battery), but it runs considerably cooler than my Intel laptops. Returning it for other reasons (HP's poor fan control, PWM flickering, rattling touchpad), so considered this G4 due to it's weight. I mostly use ultra light laptops on my lap, which makes me want one that doesn't get too hot.
Here is an excerpt from a review on Costco.com:
"Why not 5 stars? This G4 is supposed to be the same weight at 2.2 lbs, however felt quite heftier. So I weighed them. The G2 is actually 2.4 lbs. and the G4 is 2.6 lbs. Two-tenths of a pound, or 10%, makes a difference since I grip and carry the laptop from room to room with one hand all the time. And it's way off of HP's specification."
And here is a video review that shows the laptop weighing 2.54lbs at the 3:45 mark (https://youtu.be/ZerKPZGZuv0?si=
This killed the laptop for me as I was looking at the absolutely lightest laptop in the 13-14" category. The LG Gram Style 14 that I owned in the past had a 14" OLED panel, 72Wh battery, and weighed only 2.2lbs. The X1 Nano is only 2lbs for the non touchscreen version and 2.14lbs for the one with a touchscreen.
Just thought I'd share this in case someone here was considering this laptop due to the 2.2lb weight. That must be the weight for the one that comes with the 51Wh battery and a non-touchscreen display.
Since weight is one of the most important reasons to consider this laptop, I find it very annoying that HP would try to deceive you with the wrong weight.

When I played with this at the store, however, it was really nice.
