This appears to be sold by Amazon directly, not warehouse at $999.00

That $1400 retail price is a joke. Even a 48" LG OLED of comparable specs was like $900 back in 2020. 120hz vs 138hz, wow!

This does not seem good to me.

I doubt the TVs have a 0.1ms response time...

OLEDS generally have roughly the same response time.

Not enough for anyone to notice a difference. We are talking about fractions of a single ms here.

The days of monitor superiority is gone unless you need specific monitor inputs and various niche features. Usually OLED monitors will have even more aggressive ABL or lowered brightness to further reduce the chance of burn in but I don't know if this monitor has that implemented.

I believe this is C2 tech. It's been around at least 2 years....

I dunno, it's not like one can't just go to rtings and compare in this day and age.

Certainly can't do that. Nope.

I'd pay this price in 2020. Not today and not for this size.

Big monitors like this, aka BGFDs (big format gaming displays) are interesting to me because they're basically a modern "dumb" TV with good specs, being just a display with no underpowered garbage "smart" functionality bolted on like is now unavoidable in regular TVs. While there are still "dumb" TVs being sold in the form of commercial displays, the specs on those are lackluster, especially relative to OLED TVs.

Does anybody have experience using BFGDs like this as TVs instead of as big gaming monitors?

It would be great if refresh rate is above 165Hz.

With the 42" lg C3 clearing out at 350 from target, this looks like a bad purchase!
