I've been eyeing this kit for awhile now and the finially came down in price. This is a very good set, better than the Klein version of it.

for $5 more, Home Depot includes an 1/2" conduit bender:

For only occasional use, paying this much for glow rods when you can get a similar set on Amazon for like 30 dollars just isn't worth it. If you're a professional and use them daily, then maybe these start to make sense. Still seem too expensive for what they are...
Do you like Fish Sticks?
No, use a steel fish tape… I have both steel and fiberglass, fiberglass is great for conduit, horrible for walls with insulation. Just keep the metal tape angled so it's riding on the Sheetrock and you'll be fine.
Ran CAT6 to every room in my house when I moved in, steel tape was far better.

If you are planning on buying the Milwaukee rod set for $169, hold out your left hand palm out and smack yourself then buy this set for $11.69 !

Thanks for saying that. Too many DIYers who don't understand that tools made for every day professional use often cost significantly more than the harbor freight versions.

33ft version for $9 from Harbor Freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/3-1...fiberglass [harborfreight.com]

This is more than sufficient for use around the house. I like this better than fish-tape. Also, you can buy two and get a longer lengths (I think)
yep. that's what I use for running wiring on my side IT job. we use high end brand to cheap stuff at my regular work. It really doesn't mater because they're all made the same and will break. I'd rather have 10 HF version than one expansive Milwaukee fish tape.

Yup. Super flexible, glows, and lots of accessories. And repairable ends for when they break.

Go with the harbor freight sticks for the job. If it's a one off go cheap till it breaks then you know you need a better set.

I bought the Harbor Freight sticks. One of the ends came off the second time I used it. I glued it back on with super glue. Then another end came off the next time I used it. I loaned them to a friend, and it came back missing two more of the metal ends.
Still maybe worth it for some, but pick up some extra super glue when you get them.

Looking to run ethernet cable from router on 2nd floor to 1st floor. Would this work or can I get away with steel fish tape? Walls have insulation between them and I don't have attic access.

Definitely use fish tape,
