Tested this just now for you. Reset brought back up sim requirement. I bypassed it again using 12 tap method. Also still on 6.0 Dec patch on unactivated tablet.
Your best bet would be to flash stock firmware if you don't care about cellular connectivity.
Truly appreciate the test. Have you tried to flash your yet by any chance? if yes, care to share the link? as i can't find any XAA firmware for the model

My experience so far. Placed an order for a phone(moto stylus 5g 2023). Order went smooth. After it arrived I tried to order the tablet but got an error. Changed the phone number and then it went through. Today I get shipping info, activated tablet through the website and tried to order another one. Got errors again & told to call metro. Actually get a competent customer service agent and am able to place an order online for a second tablet.

Thanks for testing out. That mean if you want to flip the tablet, you should also include simcard so that buyer won't have to retort to no sim method to set up the tablet.

i've now ordered 3 (have given one away and will likely give the 2nd away and keep the 3rd) and dont plan to order more. they're surprisingly...low quality to be honest. pretty pokey and the screen quality is also lower than i would expect from samsung, even their low end devices usually sport nice displays. since the cpu should be ok, i assume the 4gb ram is the problem with the performance.

even at that though they work much better as ghetto laptops (my current purpose) than my pixel tablet, which is nicer in every other way. both because they have dex and just, samsung OS seems to handle being connected to a mouse and kb much better.

that said it's fine. for kids to watch yt on, or stuff you would use a cheap fire talet for.. def worth 20 but 70 is arguable. i paid 70 for my 1st one before they dropped the price unfortunately.

they must have a ton of extra stock because even at the fire sale price they are still in stock.

for flipping though, you could probably make 100 each and opportunities like that dont come along often.

also i had to call every time to order. i guess there is some block on accounts under 1 month old or something. anybody notice their heavily foreign accented text support people to be overly fawning? they seem to really want you to plus up that after call survey is my guess.

U can order now, because your tablet is activated

doesnt seem true. it let me order after the phone guy activated my tablet (should have been already activated since i have the sim in?), then on the very last page threw up some block telling me i had to call to complete order (which i did fine)

Don't need to do 12 taps, just bring the volume all the way to mute and try, it should work

For anyone experiencing lags and stutters on 4GB RAM Samsung devices:

The "RAM Plus" feature is a major cause of slowness. It attempts to use the flash storage to simulate RAM and not only it's much slower than real RAM, it speeds up wear out of the flash chip.

Go to Settings - Device - Memory - RAM Plus and turn the top right toggle off (requires restart). It won't be as fast as 6GB/8GB devices but should response much faster than before.

How much did they give you for the tablet?
I did 3 today, across 2 different stores and 2 different BB accounts. The 2nd store did notice the metropcs pop up when they reset the tablet, but I said I never activated it, and the rep kind of just shrugged, probably telling himself that he doesn't get paid enough to care.

$110 each. *grin*.

have 2 tablets left to unload later after I pick them up from my 2nd address.

Isn't there personal info on the sim cards?

I have one set up with a simcard. I don't see any personal information attached.

Pay for a $60 plan to grab a free Motorola G Stylus 5G 2023 https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/c...us-5g-2023. It's a good backup phone with gimmick (built-in stylus) and eSIM when eventually unlocked after 6 months.

If we have activated the line via order number, do we still need to follow the 12 tap method? Wondering what is that required for
