Warranty is not going to matter when this is already at EOL of life. You will get another 5 year run down HD for replacement. Quite pointless. By the time you do multiple back up of back up. you end up with same cost as new raid 1

Deals on new drives seem to be pretty rare this days. So this is good if you need it now.
Hard drives are mechanical wear items. It's like getting a certified pre-owned used car.
