"Ultimately, the difference between the three formats isn't that important. The quality of the TV itself has a much bigger impact on HDR"

I added the gift card situation to the thread title
I walked out the door of a local Best Buy for, I'm not kidding, $1310 net (pre-tax). Includes free mounting and delivery. W/ $ saved, added geeksquad warranty that covers burn-in ($169 2yr or $299 5 yr).
How, you say?
$1510 for open box excellent (still in original wrapping), $100 gift card, $100 recycle credit (was online promotion, ask in-store about applying/discounting additional $100). Then ask to have shipped/mounted at no charge (online promotion).
This may be one of the best deals I've ever gotten on slickdeals other than the $450 3070 Lenovo clearance Walmart laptop.
Happy hunting!
If someone isn't able to get this deal, you should be able to get a similar deal at Samsung's website if you have access to their EDU/EPP discounts.

The S89C 77" uses the same panel as the S90C 77". I think the only difference is the stand. I was able to get S90C 77" for $1673 after TV recycle add on, EPP discount, and 10% from a Samsung rep. I could've saved another 5% if I used a referral code with my account, but the referral codes only work with your first order from Samsung.com. I cancelled that order to get the S90C 83" instead because I wanted a bigger panel.

Thanks! If any issues, I bet they'll just give me a new one. Also have the warranty as back-up. That's correct. Not as accurate out of the box, but that could be just panel variance.
While the 83 is bigger, I personally am beginning to prefer QD-OLED the more I've been buying into Samsung.
I also mod my TVs and Samsung is very mod-friendly when it comes to QD-OLED if you know what you're doing. I can hit >2k nits peak w/ my S90D (Gen 2) & I disabled dimming, looks phenomenal. 77in S89/S90Cs are all Gen 2 as well. Not sure if same can be said for WOLED (never tried).

Open box excellent shows up as $1528 online for s90c? Is it cheaper in person or something?

Awesome! They shouldn't have a problem taking care of you. I'm thankful my 83" OLED dreams are coming to an end for now, haha. QD OLEDs are on another level. I have the S95B 65" and S95C 65", and they're phenomenal. Just stay away from models with the One Connect Box.
Let us know how your experience is when you get the S90C unboxed and/or mounted.

Wow this sounds great, I might give this a try. Assuming this was a 77"? Will make me feel better after missing the C3 Target deals

Honestly way too big to be a gaming monitor, unless you are going for pure single player immersion. But then again to each their own.

It also has the best viewing angle on any TV I have seen. I can see the full color and image at any angle in my house.
If this TV is still available, get it. Period. The price now is insane for the amount of quality you are receiving. The only box this does not check is DV. But that is a hotly debated feature that a lot of people argue is not even worth it. Unless you get it professionally calibrated.
Love this TV so far. Everything looks great. Top Gun Maverick and Avatar movies on this tv = *Chef's Kiss*
