This very popular Best Buy exclusive QD-OLED has dropped another $100 and now it come with free installation as well.

YMMV...as it doesnt appear to be available in all markets.

There are also open box units available for lower prices and in varying conditions.

Alternatively Best Buy also has the S90C in a 77" for $1999 with a $100 gift card

Just came here to post this deal! It's now $100 cheaper then when I purchased this TV back on February 4th. My family has been enjoying this set. My wife has never really mentioned liking any new TV purchase I had made in the past, but with this TV, she immediately noticed how bright and vibrant the colors are and the picture quality. I recommend it, even without DV.
This is probably a good read for you...along with their summation about the specific panel versus the format importance

https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/h...lby-vision

"Ultimately, the difference between the three formats isn't that important. The quality of the TV itself has a much bigger impact on HDR"
It doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in this thread, but this S89C NOW also comes with a $100 Best Buy GC.
Edit: GC has now been added to thread description

Man I went into Best Buy today and they weren't willing to give me the free mounting or $100 recycle credit for an open box product.

Not sure if it's worth getting an open box - fair for ~1400 with 5 year geek squad. Caveat is that $373 of the dollars saved comes in the form of a Best Buy credit that I would have to use in store.

Or

~1400 new from Samsung with 1 year Samsung warranty + 2 year credit card warranty + free install. Maybe I can get extra warranty from a third party if that's an option.
Where are you getting $1400 at Samsung? From what i see, the base price even with epp is now back up to $1999.99. So even if you have 10% off I don't know how you're getting it down to $1400.

Damn, sucks they couldn't set that up for you like they did me. Only trouble is Best Buy is the only retailer who actually covers burn-in on TVs, Samsung won't themselves. Even heard of others making a burn-in claim only to have Best Buy just say "No worries. Show us. If so, just keep it & we'll credit or send you another one".

I was originally going to go Samsung.com, but I know this TV will be used heavily in family room, so burn-in protection is #1 to me.

One more time slickdeals saves me some bucks. I had already purchased this TV a few days back, just got it delivered and installed yesterday. I was able to talk to chat for the price adjustement. They did make me go to the store with the certainty of a valid price adjustment and here I am bragging about a great 77in Oled TV I got for $1700 plus 100dlls bb gift card. Thanks to OP!

Doesn't seem to see the GC option on the page, is it regional?

Nah, man. My 4k HDR Blueray says other wise. Believe me, Dolby vision is very important.
Ill go with the LG. C4, smaller, but brighter and better.
Not trying to convince you to ditch Dolby Vision, but out of curiosity have you actually seen a QD-OLED TV without Dolby and the C3 with Dolby side by side?

Samsung is terrible to begin with, but their QD-OLEDs are especially prone to failure. Get the extended warranty if you absolutely must own one of these.

Ah maybe I'll go back and do the Best Buy deal instead, that is really nice of their warranty to do that.

I think I'll try to find a 3rd party burn in warranty provider if I'm too lazy and decide to just keep the Samsung order I have.

To each their own. I personally do not like DV. It takes completely control of your TV picture adjustments and dims the picture.
There's no way to turn it off on my Sony TV.
I would have to use an external streamer to do so....

I have had that very thing happen to me.. though it was during a time shortly after Covid

I had a few year old LG E7 with a very slight burn in. Almost unnoticeable
They asked me to email them a picture of my concern
About 10 days later they sent me a Best Buy gift card for my original full purchase price .
Due to the fact that prices had come down I was able to buy a nicer model with the first card.
Sold the old TV as is on marketplace for $300

I didn't see that in my research. Not disagreeing, just curious where you're getting that information from? It may influence my warranty decision.

Samsung quality is pretty awful in general, I would never buy a samsung tv without that 5 year warranty.

With the 5 year, this is pretty safe. Although costco has a better deal right now. Much cheaper, same TV.

This was for a new one I'm assuming? I'm gonna try to convince them to add free mounting on my open box order today.
