not missing much. Laptop looks good, feels good, but is sluggish and thermals are bad. I had this one and I had to return it. It's OK for very light usage. That's about it.
What were you trying to do that this laptop couldn't? I have this same machine in a 'Flex' and can do 3D designing, play Far Cry 5 (among other games with the iGPU), nothing office / internet / movie related ever caused it to hiccup, many times multitasking those activities. Heck, my work laptop is a i5-1335u. That does fine for heavy office multitasking work until architectural PDF's get to 500-600 MB then the CPU starts to give up.

And what does "bad themerals" even mean? And yes, I know what bad themerals are. How did you come to that conclusion here?

Define what stops being "very light usage" and where this i7 failed.

BTW, if you were running on the default power save mode (where the CPU is throttled) and / or didn't uninstall bloatware that is all user error.
