Microcenter is like that crush of mine, she's always posting, showing me how good she can be, but when you DM her she isnt within 500 miles of you
same price for months now
I am currently rocking this combo from about a month ago. Great deal on a really mid range setup, with case, Rx6500xt, and M.2 drive I am at about $550 all in. I did have a DOA stick of RAM though, but still very happy with my new budget Zwift machine!

If this was a 12600K instead of the KF, it would be an incredible Plex/Blue Iris starter pack. As it is, it's still an incredible deal for people looking to build a budget PC.

An A380 with this bundle could be pretty sweet.

One day they will finally open the store in Miami, and then the deals will die.

Great deal, but does anybody see a big difference between DDR4 and DDR5?

The motherboard in this combo is compatible with Coreboot if you're into that (Google for more info). Precious few motherboards are.

If you ignore DDR5 as the next generation option, the performance is better in some productivity tasks such as rendering and video encoding. In general gaming, not noticeable as of now.

The other advantages of DDR5 RAM are more capacity, lower latency, and faster data transfer rates than DDR4 RAM. It uses less energy and generates less heat.

Great deal for an upper middle tier cpu, but I rather spend extra 150 and get a 7700x bundle with 32gb ddr5

Anyone else have random memory crashes with a MSi ddr4 z690 board? Mine is a Tomahawk but I've gotta assume the bios is pretty close between them. My Corsair ddr4 3600 keeps crashing with XMP, but works fine at the slow defaults.

A "K" intel CPU means it is unlocked and can be overclocked which the Z790 chipset on the MB can handle.

The "F" means there no integrated graphics so you will NEED a graphics card.

I had to look this up, sharing so you don't have to.

Im not the one you asked, but I just built something similar. I5-12600KF, WD-SN850X 2TB SSD M2 Drive, MSI MAG B760 Motherboard, Corsair RM 850x 850 Watt power supply and Corsair DDR 5 6000 CL30 32GB Ram. Already had a case with a bunch of fans. Booted up with no problems after putting it together. Runs perfectly. Currently still have my old GTX 1070 card in there, still waiting on a good deal on a new graphics card. Even with the old graphics card it's really impressive.
AMD 6750 XT is $300 on Newegg right now. Great pairing with the 12600kf.

I don't have this board but my Gigabyte Aorus does the same thing. I have 3200mhz ram and anything above 3000mhz will cause no post. From what I've read online some people say not all ram will allow for the OC XMP does. The chip you're running can also be the cause. Some chips only allow for certain speed ram or below the threshold they set.

The only way to test is to change the individual voltages while increasing mhz manually to see if that's the cause. That's pretty tedious though.
