For those interested in the review, link posted but he pretty much trashes the bar. I think its a decent bar especially for the price and no one else comes close to this affordability.

For anyone curious about the differences between trap bar deadlifts vs. conventional barbell deadlifts, this is the go-to resource: https://www.strongerbyscience.com...deadlifts/

I just got this bar a few days ago, it has some pretty poor QA. One of the welds was off and the bar had a slight bend on the side of the bad weld. I'm assuming both defects are related to the same manufacturing event. I ended up returning it and ordering a new one hoping that it was a one off and the new one will be fine. Other than the defects it does feel like it could be a pretty solid bar, I guess I will find out.

As someone who has pulled 800 in a conventional deadlift, I would never recommend deadlifting with a straight bar unless you're specifically training for a big deadlift. A trap bar is a lot easier on you and you get most of the same benefits. Ymmv.

Had a sturdier one before, but I maxed it out (not enough space for more 45's). Bought this a few months ago, can easily handle 600~, have not had any issues with it and definitely enjoy that it's easy to load and unload weight on it.

Thanks for the video! I'm surprised that a trap bar with long sleeve exist at this extremely low price range. I think if you're lifting less than 500 lbs, this bar would be super awesome. The long sleeve really helps you load more bumper plates. Personally, I own the very nice REP trap bar for $399 but the thing is that I could train for my whole life but might not ever hit 500 lbs.
Yes if its 500 lbs and under I think you will be fine. He maxed out the sleeves is why it started to bend.

Tell me about it, I injured my back probably around 7 times conventional deadlifting. Im to the point were I took it out of my routine. Risk to reward isn't worth it to me anymore. Everytime I hurt myself, it effected all my lifts and slowed down my progress. As I age 44 years old, im training for longevity and health now.

Thank you for this video. Helped me decide to avoid it - seems like a great deal but would rather only invest in 1 bar and this doesn't seem to be it

All the other open trap bars I've used have become real unstable when you approach 315 and become unusable after 365. is this one similar or is it stable?

Says it's good to 1000 lbs but I've been hurt before...

Its a good cheap trap bar for 500 lbs and under but don't expect to load it with 600 lbs plus. A YouTuber just reviewed it and it started bending around 580 lbs. I recommend it for your average lifters.
If you're doing reps with 500+ lbs... You're not an "Average" lifter

I can get two at 500 lbs, incline dumbbell press 130 for 5 and squat 460 lbs for two at body weight of 200 lbs. I consider myself average but im also a natural lifter. Lol. There are true monsters out there that are elite.

The best options are giant if your on a budget or reps which is considered by many the best one.

OMG... the weights that you can lift are most certainly not average. They're insanely heavy and unattainable for most people.

Thanks, I've been training forever. Took 3 years off from injuries and just got back in a year and half ago. Thank goodness for muscle memory I was able to attain what I lost.
