My pet bird Petey, his head fell off! Never getting a parakeet from ebay again.
Some other sites I highly recommend if you're looking for excellent prices on drivers and clubs. They pretty much all either have a sale or 10-20% coupon available rotating weeks:
rockbottomgolf.com
Callawaygolfpreowned.com
maplehillgolf.com
And globalgolf.com
12 degrees of loft is a lot. The available loft and shaft choices fit players with slower swing speeds. If you have a faster swing speed, check out the Cobra LTDx driver for $249. It was considered one of the best drivers in 2022.

I use the ST-Z and this club is going to be way different. The Star line is made to be ultra light for slower swing speeds and higher loft to get the ball in the air. The Star also is not adjustable.
Interestingly, all the other Callaway Epic Maxes that I see online (from the Callaway site or the Callaway preowned site) have adjustable loft, but the posted driver does not seem to be. I'm a beginner golfer, so I may be able to get away with the 12' loft, but I assume, eventually, I have to get down to lower loft. I'll buy ones that are adjustable used. =)
Buy an adjustable 10.5. They usually give 1.5 degrees of adjustability. Then you'll be golden as your swing improves.
It seems to me that THE putter is a Scotty Cameron (maybe just as a meme because overpriced or because it's actually good). What is considered THE driver? I know "there is no one-size-fits-all" but surely there must be something close to what's considered the best
Yes, but people were talking about how this is good for kids and old people. I was offering an alternative in this price range for regular players.
"Way better quality" is what Callaway marketing wants you to believe. In reality, tests have been done with robots on the top drivers and the Costco ones have about 2% less carry, which is not exactly going to be noticeable for the average golfer with a handicap in the teens.
Having the correct/good shaft on your driver can help you shave strokes, and I'm not really sure how that is debatable.
There is nothing wrong with any of the Kirkland branded golf gear. For $200, can someone get a better driver than a Kirkland with a better shaft and weight customization? That answer is definitely a yes.

I like Golfio (www.golfio.com) this store always has competitive pricing and great service.
